Sinking Deck Repair in Biddeford, ME
The homeowner in Biddeford, ME, reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems after noticing that their pool deck’s concrete slabs were gradually sinking. Concerned about potential tripping hazards and worsening damage, they decided to explore options for leveling the concrete. After researching the PolyLevel solution, which uses an advanced polyurethane foam to lift sunken slabs, they scheduled an assessment with TC Hafford.   A technician came out to the property and conducted a thorough evaluation of the deck. Not only did the deck look seamless once the injection points were patched, but they were also able to enjoy their pool deck later that day due to the quick curing time of the PolyLevel material. Wall Crack In Saco, ME Basement Sealed With FlexiSpan
A homeowner in Saco was having trouble with water leaking into their basement through a crack in the wall. This crack was allowing enough water into the basement to form pools on the floor. The homeowner, looking for a way to put an end to this, soon heard about TC Hafford Basement Systems from a friend. They called us the next day, and we gave them their free estimate. They then decided on what they wanted done, and we started work on the basement. We needed to seal the crack, and the best way for us to do this was to apply FlexiSpan to the crack. To start, we filled the crack with a sealant, this is the first line of the defense against water entering the basement through the crack. We then covered over the sealant with a foam mat, which give the FlexiSpan its flexible nature. Finally, we applied a second layer of sealant over the top of the foam. This holds everything in place, and forms the water tight seal, locking out any moisture trying to enter the crack. This FlexiSpan will ensure this homeowners basement will remain dry, safe from any water that would have previously entered through the crack.

Dave gave us a call, and we had a representative head to the property to give him a free estimate. He selected what work he wanted done and we got to work! We began by removing the old sump pump. The primary pump handles the bulk of the water. The secondary pump will turn on in the event of the primary pump failing. The third pump is a battery-backup pump which operates when the power in the home cannot keep the primary or secondary running. The pump uses a PVC discharge line to evacuate the water. Which, on the exterior of the home, we attached an IceGuard pipe piece to. The IceGuard is designed to allow water to exit the pipe should the lower end become blocked by any kind of debris. The combination of TripleSafe sump pump and IceGuard filter is sure to keep this basement dry. Dave should have no more worries about a malfunctioning sump pump in the future!
