Moist Basement In Bridgton, ME Waterproofed With SuperSump
A homeowner in Bridgton was looking to have their basement finished, but with water leaking into it during rain, this wasn’t going to happen. Before they could move forward with finishing their basement, they needed to waterproof their basement. They soon heard about TC Hafford Basement Systems from a satisfied previous customer and they contacted us right away. We had a representative give the homeowner a free estimate and got to work on the basement! We dug out a hole in the basement floor to create a sump. This is where the water will naturally gather. Gutter Shutter Installation in Bridgton, Maine
When a homeowner in Bridgton, Maine, reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems, they were seeking a solution to address their water drainage issues. Without an effective gutter system, rainwater was pooling near the foundation, posing a risk to the home’s structural integrity. After conducting a thorough inspection, the TC Hafford team determined that installing the Gutter Shutter system, along with a RainChute, would be the ideal solution to redirect water safely away from the property.   The Gutter Shutter system provides oversized gutters that can handle large volumes of rain while keeping out leaves and debris, ensuring a maintenance-free, clog-resistant solution. Complementing this, the RainChute efficiently channels rainwater away from the foundation, protecting the home from erosion and water damage. These installations work in tandem to safeguard the home’s exterior and reduce the risk of costly repairs down the line.     Upon completion, the homeowner expressed their satisfaction with the results. The streamlined system now offers both functionality and peace of mind, knowing their home is well-protected against water-related issues. The experience reinforced their confidence in the decision to choose TC Hafford Basement Systems for this essential upgrade.
Moving Wall and Wet Basement Causing Problems for Homeowner
A moving wall was creating problems for this Bridgton, ME, homeowner, leading to an unstable foundation and water in their basement. Wanting to get ahead of the issue before springtime when the water is worse, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Sam Crowley met with the homeowner, and together they designed a waterproofing and foundation repair system that would meet the needs of the home and protect their family. When a foundation begins to move or break down, the home would have to be lifted and a new foundation poured in its place. With StableLock Wall System, the homeowner never has to leave the comfort of their home. StableLock is a quicker and more cost-effective solution to a failing foundation using modern shoring and forming methods. StableLock fills the voids of the failing wall, stabilizing it and leaving a new, smooth wall in its place. To catch groundwater and keep the basement dry, WaterGuard was installed where needed to channel water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe sump pump features two Zoeller pumps with an included battery-powered backup pump. The battery backup pump comes on in the event of a power outage, keeping the homeowner protected from water coming into their basement and causing issues. The TripleSafe takes the water and pumps it out through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home, and with the installed IceGuard, the system is protected against ice buildup, and the system runs all year without issue. To finish the waterproofing system, the homeowner opted to have a SaniDry Sedona installed to keep the humidity in their basement at a safe level. Now the homeowner is able to enjoy their basement and use it for storage without the risk of their belongings being damaged.
Leaking Basement In Bar Millls, ME Kept Dry With TripleSafe
A homeowner in Bar Mills had a basement that would always gather a pool of water during heavy rains. Fearing the problem worsening over time, the homeowner wanted to stop this before it could get any worse. After a quick internet search, they found TC Hafford Basement Systems. They called us up and we had our representative inspect the basement to give them their free estimate. After they selected what work they wanted done, we got to work! To take in the water leaking into the basemen, we dug out a sump in the floor of the basement. Within this sump, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump. This product is composed of three separate pumps. The primary and secondary handle the bulk of the water, the secondary only turning on when the primary fails for any reason. The third pump is a battery backup pump, activating when the power in the home goes out. We then installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier to remove the moisture from the air within the space. This homeowner now no longer needs to worry about water pooling up on his basement floor. Even without power, his new sump pump will continue to evacuate water.
Cape Porpoise, ME Crawlspace & Basement Waterproofed Properly
A homeowner in Cape Porpoise had an exceptionally moist basement. Alongside a damp crawlspace, the homeowner needed professional help to keep this water out. The homeowner was soon introduced to TC Hafford Basement Systems. We were exactly the company he was looking for, and he contacted us right away. We gave him a free estimate and dispatched our crew to get to work! We began work in the crawlspace of the home. To keep the moisture from finding its way into the space, we encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace Liner. This is a sheet of plastic that covers every surface in the crawlspace, except for the ceiling, locking out any leaking moisture. We then installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier in the crawlspace to remove any moisture from the air, keeping the atmosphere dry. Moving on to the basement, we installed a SuperSump sump pump. This pump will take any water trying to gather in the basement and push it up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. Finally, we attached an UltraSump backup batter to the SuperSump. This will keep the pump going even when the power in the home goes out. Now this homeowner will have a dry crawlspace and basement in any weather.
Crawlspace In Sebago, ME Sealed Properly Using CleanSpace Liner
A homeowner in Sebago was noticing puddles of water starting to gather in his crawlspace. This was an immediate problem, but he was unsure how to go about fixing it. He soon saw an ad on his television for TC Hafford Basement Systems and gave us a call. We had a representative out to his home in no time to see what could be done. The first thing our crew got to work on was installing a Drainage Matting around the crawlspace. This will allow any water coming in to slide underneath itself, rather than out into the crawlspace. Then the crawlspace was completely covered with a CleanSpace Liner. This locks out any water between itself and the walls/floor. Not allowing any to pass through into the interior of the crawlspace. Finally, we installed a SaniDry CX Dehumidifier, to dry out any moisture in the air. This final step is important because moist air can lead to mold growth. Not only can mold cause a nasty smell, but it can cause health problems as well. Now this homeowner is worry free!
