WaterGuard Protects Steep Falls, ME Basement From Water Damage
A homeowner in Steep Falls was having trouble with water leaking into her basement through the walls and floor. Fearing water damage, the homeowner searched for a way to prevent more water from entering her basement. She soon called TC Hafford Basement Systems to arrange a meeting with one of our representative and receive their free estimate. The homeowner gave us the green light and we got to work! To begin our work, we dug a trench around the inside perimeter of the basement floor and removed the debris. This new trench allowed us to lay down our WaterGuard pipe system encircling the basement. This system will catch all the water trying to enter the basement through the walls and floor and guide it to the sump. The WaterGuard was then buried under loose rocks and cement to hide it without hindering its capabilities. We then installed a SuperSump sump pump in the basement, which would pump the collected water up and out through a PVC discharge line. On the exterior of the home, we attached an IceGuard filter to the discharge line. This special pipe will allow water to exit the line should the lower end of the pipe become blocked by ice or other debris. Finally, we emplaced a SaniDry XP dehumidifier in the basement. This will take in the moist air, and output dry, healthy air. With these systems working together, water damage will no longer be a concern for this homeowner!
CleanSpace Installation Keeps Out Unwanted Water in Steep Falls, ME
A homeowner living in Steep Falls, ME was looking for a way to have a few things done for their home. They wanted to better waterproof the crawlspace beneath their home and also better insulate the space. Not long after they began looking, they were referred to call us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to get a free estimate on the cost of the job. When they got their estimate, they liked what we had to offer and hired us to get the job done for them! When our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on better insulating the space first. To achieve this, Spray Foam was used along the upper edges of the crawlspace as well as along each joist supporting the home. This foam increases in size once sprayed and fills the cracks and gaps that might decrease a homes insulation efficiency. Next, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace. This liner covers all of the walls as well as the floor of the space, locking out any outside moisture. Now that this homeowner has a proper vapor barrier below their home, they can rest assured they're safe from a moisture problem developing in the future. The Spray Foam insulation will also help the homeowner in the long-run by keeping the price of heating or cooling their home down.
SaniDry Sedona Installation Protects Steep Falls, ME Basement from Mold Problem
When this Steep Falls, ME homeowner began to notice water leaking in through a crack along one of their basement walls, the moisture had already begun to have negative effects on the space. With the basement showing signs of early mold development, the homeowner needed a solution, fast! When they heard about TC Hafford Basement Systems from a coworker, they called us right away to set up their free estimate. They soon spoke with our sales representative and decided on what work they wanted done to protect their basement. Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they got started solving the problem of the crack in one of the concrete walls of the basement. Utilizing a FlexiSpan seal to keep water from entering through this wall, our crew quickly applied the three-part seal along the length of the crack. The FlexiSpan structure has a foam core between two layers of sealant. This foam core allows the seal to bend and contort to stay in place over the crack, should it ever shift slightly in shape in the future. Next, to eliminate the developing mold problem entirely, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed on the basement floor. This device will pull in the surrounding damp air and separate the moisture from it. The dried air is then circulated back into the basement where it will cycle more damp air back to the SaniDry, continuing the process. Once the atmosphere within this basement is free of moisture, any mold attempting to grow will no longer be able to sustain itself. Finally, the moisture collected through the SaniDry is pumped from the home through a PVC discharge line. With their leakage problem sealed and the mold growth eliminated, this homeowner no longer needs to worry about their basement during rainy weather. The SaniDry Sedona will ensure the space remains moisture-free for years to come!

When a homeowner in Bridgton, Maine, reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems, they were seeking a solution to address their water drainage issues. These installations work in tandem to safeguard the home’s exterior and reduce the risk of costly repairs down the line.     Upon completion, the homeowner expressed their satisfaction with the results. With StableLock Wall System, the homeowner never has to leave the comfort of their home. StableLock is a quicker and more cost-effective solution to a failing foundation using modern shoring and forming methods. StableLock fills the voids of the failing wall, stabilizing it and leaving a new, smooth wall in its place. To catch groundwater and keep the basement dry, WaterGuard was installed where needed to channel water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe sump pump features two Zoeller pumps with an included battery-powered backup pump. The battery backup pump comes on in the event of a power outage, keeping the homeowner protected from water coming into their basement and causing issues. The TripleSafe takes the water and pumps it out through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home, and with the installed IceGuard, the system is protected against ice buildup, and the system runs all year without issue. To finish the waterproofing system, the homeowner opted to have a SaniDry Sedona installed to keep the humidity in their basement at a safe level. A homeowner in Bar Mills had a basement that would always gather a pool of water during heavy rains. They called us up and we had our representative inspect the basement to give them their free estimate. After they selected what work they wanted done, we got to work! Cape Porpoise, ME Crawlspace & Basement Waterproofed Properly
A homeowner in Cape Porpoise had an exceptionally moist basement. Alongside a damp crawlspace, the homeowner needed professional help to keep this water out. To keep the moisture from finding its way into the space, we encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace Liner. This is a sheet of plastic that covers every surface in the crawlspace, except for the ceiling, locking out any leaking moisture. We then installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier in the crawlspace to remove any moisture from the air, keeping the atmosphere dry. Moving on to the basement, we installed a SuperSump sump pump. This pump will take any water trying to gather in the basement and push it up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. Finally, we attached an UltraSump backup batter to the SuperSump. This will keep the pump going even when the power in the home goes out. Now this homeowner will have a dry crawlspace and basement in any weather.
Crawlspace In Sebago, ME Sealed Properly Using CleanSpace Liner
A homeowner in Sebago was noticing puddles of water starting to gather in his crawlspace. This was an immediate problem, but he was unsure how to go about fixing it. He soon saw an ad on his television for TC Hafford Basement Systems and gave us a call. We had a representative out to his home in no time to see what could be done. The first thing our crew got to work on was installing a Drainage Matting around the crawlspace. This will allow any water coming in to slide underneath itself, rather than out into the crawlspace. Then the crawlspace was completely covered with a CleanSpace Liner. This locks out any water between itself and the walls/floor. Not allowing any to pass through into the interior of the crawlspace. Finally, we installed a SaniDry CX Dehumidifier, to dry out any moisture in the air. This final step is important because moist air can lead to mold growth. Not only can mold cause a nasty smell, but it can cause health problems as well. Now this homeowner is worry free!
