Saco, ME, Gutter Shutter and RainDrop Installation
A homeowner in Saco, Maine, reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems looking for a reliable gutter solution. Given the home’s height and the need for efficiency, they wanted a system installed as quickly as possible to prevent water damage to the property. After evaluating the home, we determined that the best course of action would be to install the Gutter Shutter system along with the LawnScape outlet and the complete Raindrop system. The Gutter Shutter system is designed to prevent clogging and eliminate the need for constant maintenance, ensuring that water is effectively directed away from the home. This protects the foundation and basement from potential flooding, which is especially important in Maine’s climate where heavy rains can be frequent. The LawnScape outlet further directs water away from the property, reducing the chances of soil erosion or pooling near the home’s foundation. Finally, the Raindrop system offers additional debris protection, allowing water to flow through the gutters without blockages. This combination creates a highly effective, low-maintenance solution, which was ideal for the homeowner’s needs.   By the end of the project, the homeowner was extremely satisfied with how smoothly the installation went and how much better their home was protected against water damage. This installation not only provided peace of mind but also ensured the home would remain safe from water-related issues for years to come.
Basement In Standish, ME Kept Dry With TripleSafe Sump Pump
Dave from Standish was having trouble with his sump pump within his basement. It was malfunctioning and water was pooling up on his basement floor. Seeking professional help, Dave searched online for a solution. His search soon lead him to TC Hafford Basement Systems, who after a little research, he knew was the right company for the job. Dave gave us a call, and we had a representative head to the property to give him a free estimate. He selected what work he wanted done and we got to work! We began by removing the old sump pump. It was faulty and would no longer serve a purpose in the basement. We then installed our TripleSafe sump pump into the sump. The TripleSafe is composed of three separate pumps. The primary pump handles the bulk of the water. The secondary pump will turn on in the event of the primary pump failing. The third pump is a battery-backup pump which operates when the power in the home cannot keep the primary or secondary running. The pump uses a PVC discharge line to evacuate the water. Which, on the exterior of the home, we attached an IceGuard pipe piece to. The IceGuard is designed to allow water to exit the pipe should the lower end become blocked by any kind of debris. The combination of TripleSafe sump pump and IceGuard filter is sure to keep this basement dry. Dave should have no more worries about a malfunctioning sump pump in the future!

WaterGuard Installation Maintains Dry Waterford, ME Basement
A homeowner that lived in Waterford, ME was in the market for some basement waterproofing. Even though they had a concrete foundation around their basement, the space was still taking on water during rainfall. Unable to put an end to this leakage on their own, the homeowner sought a solution online. They soon discovered TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us to set up their free estimate. After they heard their options they gave us the go-ahead to get started waterproofing their basement. When our installation crew got to the home, to prevent future leakages, WaterGuard piping needed to be installed around the basement floor. This installation began with a shallow trench being dug out around the perimeter of the basement floor. Here, the WaterGuard piping was laid and connected to the sump. The pipes were then buried beneath a layer of loose rocks and concrete. Within the floor, the WaterGuard pipes will take in the leaking moisture through small slits along the lower edge of each pipe. Once trapped, the water is guided through the floor to the sump for removal from the basement without ever reaching the surface. Now that this homeowner has proper waterproofing in their basement, they can use the space without needing to worry about water damage. The WaterGuard piping will keep this basement floor dry for years into the future!
Waterford, ME Crawlspace Waterproofed with CleanSpace Installation
Living in Waterford, ME, this homeowner had recently begun to notice a musty smell around parts of their home. Worried about what might be causing this problem, the homeowner checked if they could find any information online. They soon discovered TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us to receive their free estimate on solutions for the issue. After speaking with our sales representative, the homeowner gave us the green light to get started on eliminating the moisture problem in the crawlspace below the home. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the crawlspace right away. With moisture leaking in through the ground and building up in the space, a barrier was needed to keep the water at bay. First, a Drainage Matting was laid across the crawlspace floor. This mat has many holes throughout it, and it rests just above the surface of the floor using grooves along the bottom. This allows for any water trapped between the vapor barrier layers to flow down and out of the space following the channels created by the grooves. Finally, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the walls and floor of the space. This completely seals out any moisture that would have previously leaked into the interior of the crawlspace. With their new barrier in place below their home, this homeowner should soon notice the musty smell dissipate. The CleanSpace liner will keep the space below this home dry for years into the future!
Leaking Basement In Naples, ME Kept Dry With WaterGuard
A homeowner in Naples was having trouble with water leaking into their basement and crawlspace. They had a sump pump, but it wasn’t able to pump out the water that was on the opposite side of the basement or in the crawlspace. Seeking a solution, the homeowner got online. They soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems, and gave us a call. We dispatched a representative to inspect the home and give a free estimate. Then our crew went in to get to work! We began by digging up the inside perimeter of the basement floor. This allowed us room to lay our WaterGuard system. These are uniquely designed pipes that will capture water as it enters through the walls or floor, guiding it to the sump. The system is then covered over with rocks and cement to conceal it beneath the floor without hindering functionality. We then installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier in the basement. This will take in the moist air, dry it out, and disperse it back out into the basement. This cycles through the air until all of the moisture has been removed, creating a dry atmosphere. Finally, within the crawlspace, we needed to install a proper vapor barrier. We encapsulated the space with a CleanSpace Liner. This liner is made of a thin plastic that completely locks out moisture trying to enter through the surrounding soil. With these systems in place, the homeowner now has a dry, healthy basement to use however he sees fit. He will no longer need to fear any form of water damage.
Damp Crawlspace In Bethel, ME Dried With CleanSpace
Steven in Bethel was starting to notice a smell coming from his crawlspace. This was a sign of mold growth, which is caused by moist air. Steven needed to stop this mold growth, and in order to do that, he needed to have his crawlspace waterproofed. To get the job done right, Steven called TC Hafford Basement Systems. We sent out a representative to inspect the crawlspace and give the homeowner a free estimate on what could be done to solve his problem. He decided on what he wanted done and we got started. To maintain a dry atmosphere within the crawlspace, we needed to give the homeowner a proper vapor barrier. We encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace Liner. This liner covers the walls and the floor entirely. CleanSpace is made of plastic, which water cannot pass through, locking any moisture out of the crawlspace completely. This will keep Stevens crawlspace dry and mold free for the future.
Ocean Park, ME Crawlspace Sealed Off From Moisture With CleanSpace
Tony from Ocean Park was in the market for getting his crawlspace vapor barrier redone. It wasn’t done properly the first time, and was allowing moisture to accumulate within the crawlspace. Tony got online to find his answer, and he found it with TC Hafford Basement Systems. He contacted us and we had a representative out at the home in no time to give Tony his free estimate. He selected what work he wanted done and we got started! First, we laid a Drainage Matting around the interior perimeter of the crawlspace. This will hold back most of the moisture entering the crawlspace and give it time to drain out through the floor. On top of the Drainage Matting, we covered the crawlspace with a CleanSpace Liner. This liner will ensure nearly all of the moisture coming in through the walls or floor are kept locked underneath it, not allowing for water to gather within the crawlspace. Finally, to guarantee a dry atmosphere within the crawlspace, we installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier. This will cycle the moist air until all that is left is dry, healthy air. Now Tony has a functioning vapor barrier and a dry crawlspace, thanks to CleanSpace!

A homeowner in Harrison was having trouble with their current sump pump. They had contacted TC Hafford at a previous residence for basement work; and now gave us another call to get this new basement done! His current sump pump wasn’t pumping water like it used to. Water was starting to collect in and around the sump for extended periods of time. We had a representative head out to take a look and offer potential solutions. Once the homeowner decided on what they wanted done, we got to work! We started the job by removing the old pump. It wasn’t going to be doing the homeowner any good anymore. We then installed a SuperSump sump pump into the old sump. This new sump should do the trick when it comes to pushing out the water that gathers in the sump.
