Finished Basement Nightmare in North Hampton, NH
Homeowners from North Hampton, NH reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their damaged finished basement. Water had come into the space causing damage to the floors and walls. Our System Design Specialist Mike P. came up with a plan to give the homeowners peace of mind moving forward.   We installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, and connected to a new TripleSafe Sump Pump. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the TripleSafe, which features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe also has an UltraSump Battery Back-Up. The inclusion of the UltraSump Battery Back-Up is important to keep water out of the basement even during power outages, which tend to be very common in New England during big storms. The TripleSafe drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard.    Our homeowners now have a dry, usable space that they no longer have to worry about being ruined from water again!
Freezing Crawlspace Cured with CleanSpace in North Hampton
Our North Hampton, NH homeowner was tired of their freezing cold crawlspace affecting their home temperature and heating bills, and also had leaking in their separate basement area. They reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help remedying their 1800's home. System Design Specialist Mike P. met with the homeowner to find the best solution to seal their crawlspace and keep their basement dry.   To fully encapsulate the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists and walls to insulate the area, keeping cold air out during the winter, making the space more comfortable, and saving the homeowner money on their energy bill.   A SuperSump Plus system with WaterGuard was installed to capture water and pump it through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and with the installation of IceGuard, the entire system is protected against ice buildup in the winter. Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to protect the space from future moisture. Now the homeowner is enjoying a warmer home, cheaper energy bills, and more dry, usable space!
Taking Tiny Basement from Wet to Dry in North Hampton
A North Hampton, NH homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their leaky basement issues. They said their tiny basement for their tiny home was having BIG water issues. System Design Specialist Rick R. met with the homeowner to evaluate their specific needs.   Water was leaking in around the perimeter of the basement, so WaterGuard was installed to catch the water and channel it to a SuperSump Plus system. The SuperSump Plus pumps the water through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that takes it far from the home. The Discharge line is protected against ice buildup during the winter months with the installation of IceGuard. To take care of any humidity in the basement, a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier is set up with an additional line attached to the SuperSump so the homeowner no longer has to go into the basement to empty their old dehumidifier. Now their space is dry and fully functional for much needed added square footage.
Wet Basement In Limerick, ME, Properly Waterproofed With WaterGuard
A homeowner in Limerick was having water enter their basement through the floor and walls. This was immediately an issue for the homeowner, because they were using their basement for storage. This problem needed to be resolved, and they called TC Hafford to get the job done! As soon as our crew got to the home, they started work on the basement. First, the perimeter of the basement floor needed to be dug up. This was to make way for our WaterGuard piping system. This system will catch any water entering through the walls or floor before it reaches out towards the center of the basement. Once the WaterGuard system was in place, we installed the SuperSump sump pump. This pump will take the collected water from the piping system and force it up through PVC to the outside. Lastly, we attached an UltraSump backup battery, to ensure the pump continues to pump water even if the home loses electricity. Now this homeowner has a perfectly dry basement to use however they please.
Faulty Sump Pump In North Berwick, ME Replaced With SuperSump
A homeowner in North Berwick was having trouble with their sump pump. Even though they had one installed a few years ago, their basement was starting to gather water again. Their pump was malfunctioning. Seeking a way to remedy this, the homeowner saw TC Hafford Basement Systems on their television and called us right away. We sent out our representative to look at the basement and give the homeowner their free estimate. They selected which options they wanted and we got to work! We began by removing the old sump pump. This was disposed of properly, and left the sump with an open slot for a new pump. We then installed a SuperSump sump pump in the sump. This sump will easily be able to handle any amount of water trying to gather in the basement, being able to pump 2,650 gallons per hour. To maintain a dry basement in any weather, we attached an UltraSump backup battery to the SuperSump. This will keep the pump operating even in such storms that the power in the home goes out. The water leaving the basement exits through a PVC discharge line. On the exterior off the home, we attached an IceGuard pipe to this discharge line. This specially designed pipe will allow water to continue to flow from the line even if the lower end of the pipe becomes blocked by any debris. These systems operating together will maintain a dry basement in any condition. The homeowner no longer needs to worry about a failing sump pump.

WaterGuard Installation Maintains Dry Waterford, ME Basement
A homeowner that lived in Waterford, ME was in the market for some basement waterproofing. Even though they had a concrete foundation around their basement, the space was still taking on water during rainfall. Unable to put an end to this leakage on their own, the homeowner sought a solution online. They soon discovered TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us to set up their free estimate. After they heard their options they gave us the go-ahead to get started waterproofing their basement. When our installation crew got to the home, to prevent future leakages, WaterGuard piping needed to be installed around the basement floor. This installation began with a shallow trench being dug out around the perimeter of the basement floor. Here, the WaterGuard piping was laid and connected to the sump. The pipes were then buried beneath a layer of loose rocks and concrete. Within the floor, the WaterGuard pipes will take in the leaking moisture through small slits along the lower edge of each pipe. Once trapped, the water is guided through the floor to the sump for removal from the basement without ever reaching the surface. Now that this homeowner has proper waterproofing in their basement, they can use the space without needing to worry about water damage. The WaterGuard piping will keep this basement floor dry for years into the future!
Waterford, ME Crawlspace Waterproofed with CleanSpace Installation
Living in Waterford, ME, this homeowner had recently begun to notice a musty smell around parts of their home. Worried about what might be causing this problem, the homeowner checked if they could find any information online. They soon discovered TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us to receive their free estimate on solutions for the issue. After speaking with our sales representative, the homeowner gave us the green light to get started on eliminating the moisture problem in the crawlspace below the home. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the crawlspace right away. With moisture leaking in through the ground and building up in the space, a barrier was needed to keep the water at bay. First, a Drainage Matting was laid across the crawlspace floor. This mat has many holes throughout it, and it rests just above the surface of the floor using grooves along the bottom. This allows for any water trapped between the vapor barrier layers to flow down and out of the space following the channels created by the grooves. Finally, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the walls and floor of the space. This completely seals out any moisture that would have previously leaked into the interior of the crawlspace. With their new barrier in place below their home, this homeowner should soon notice the musty smell dissipate. The CleanSpace liner will keep the space below this home dry for years into the future!
