Flooding Basement Gets New Bulkhead Doors in Madbury, NH
Homeowners in Madbury, New Hampshire were experiencing their basement flooding every spring. One of the culprits of the water intrusion was their old, leaky bulkhead doors. We installed new bulkhead doors which close flush to prevent water coming, and also enhance the exterior aesthetic of the home.
Waterproofing Madbury, NH Basement that Leaks After Every Rain
We helped homeowners in Madbury, NH who were experiencing water intrusion after every rain storm. First we jackhammered around the perimeter of their basement to install our patented WaterGuard drainage system. WaterGuard collects incoming water and channels it to their new TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump system can handle over 6,000 gallons of water per hour as needed. It features two cast-iron Zoeller pumps, as well as a third battery backup pump to protect the system through power outages. These homeowners now have their treasure at the end of the rainbow - a dry basement!
Waterproofing a Crawl Space in Madbury, NH
New homeowners in Madbury, NH quickly realized that after it rained they would experience water pooling on their crawl space floor. We installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier with drainage matting to control the groundwater and seal water out of the crawl space. We also installed a SmartSump pump to pump water away from the home. A new SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier helps control the humidity in the crawl space, and drains directly to the SmartSump so the owners never have to empty buckets of water from the dehumidifer.
Leaking Crack In Stoneham, ME Sealed With FlexiSpan
A homeowner in Stoneham had a wet basement, thanks to a large crack forming on one of their walls. This could lead to water damage to the homeowner’s property, and they needed a way to prevent it. Searching online for a solution, they soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems. We arranged to inspect the crack, and we gave the homeowner a free estimate. They gave us the green light and we got started! We began by filling the crack with a layer of sealant. This layer was then covered over with a foam matting. This foam matting gives the finished structure flexibility. These two layers acts as an initial barrier which holds back some of the moisture, but it is not quite complete yet. We finished the project off with a final layer of sealant over the foam. This creates what is known as FlexiSpan. A crack sealing structure that is capable of bending and conforming to the crack in the event of shifting basement walls. With the FlexiSpan in place, this homeowner will no longer experience a leaking basement due to this crack!
CleanSpace Encapsulation Protects Stoneham, ME Crawlspace from Moisture
Living in Stoneham, ME, this new homeowner soon discovered a musty smell coming from the crawlspace of their home. After hearing from a family friend that TC Hafford Basement Systems could solve their problem, they called us right away! Our office staff set them up with a free estimate from one of our representatives and the homeowner was soon giving details on what we could do for them. They gave us the go-ahead and we got started! When the installation crew arrived, they were able to begin work on the crawlspace right away through one of the many entry points. To create a proper vapor barrier within the space, a Drainage Matting was first laid across the dirt floor of the space. This mat rests just above the surface of the floor and has many holes throughout, to allow for a smooth water flow. When water entering this space in the future is blocked by the vapor barrier, it will be able to flow back down through this mat, following the channels beneath to where it can drain into the ground. To complete the vapor barrier, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace. This thin white sheet will lock out moisture that would have otherwise leaked into the space to continue to cause problems. With a vapor barrier in place below their home, this homeowner can rest assured their moisture problems are a thing of the past. The CleanSpace encapsulation will keep this crawlspace interior dry for years into the future.
SaniDry Sedona Installation Keeps Stoneham, ME Crawlspace Moisture-Free
Having had work done by us previously, this Stoneham, ME homeowner knew just who to call when they noticed signs of moisture buildup in the crawlspace below their home. After meeting with our sales representative to receive their free estimate, the homeowner gave us the green light to get started with the waterproofing. As soon as our crew arrived at the home, they got started right away installing both a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier alongside a Condensate pump. The SaniDry will quickly eliminate the moisture problem by pulling in the damp air from around the crawlspace. The moisture in this air is then separated from the air and passed to the pump where it will be removed from the home through a discharge line. Lastly, the SaniDry will circulate the dried air back into the crawlspace in order to cycle more damp air and continue this process until the space in once again full of dry and healthy air. With their crawlspace kept free of moisture, this homeowner should notice the musty smell clear up soon! The SaniDry Sedona will maintain a dry crawlspace atmosphere below this home for many years to come!
Damp Crawlspace In West Newfield, ME Sealed With CleanSpace
A couple in West Newfield was experiencing flooding in their crawlspace during heavy rains. This moisture could lead to not only damage, but mold growth; which could then cause health issues for the inhabitants. The water was coming in through the dirt floor rather easily, and the two needed a way to hold back the moisture that was entering. They soon found the answer to their problem online, with TC Hafford Basement Systems. We heard from them shortly after and had a representative take a look at the crawlspace to give a free estimate on what we could do and how much it would cost. The couple decided on what work they wanted done, and our crew started the project! We installed a SmartSump sump pump into the crawlspace to pump out any water that found its way inside. Next, we laid a Drainage Matting in around the inside edge of the crawlspace to hold back moisture coming in through the walls, allowing for it to drain back into the soil. Finally, we encapsulated the entire crawlspace, save for the ceiling, with a CleanSpace Liner. This liner completely locks out moisture trying to come in through the floor or walls. Any moisture coming in this way will now never see the interior of the crawlspace. Now this couple has a moisture free crawlspace and peace of mind!
Home Plagued by a Wet Basement and Sagging Floors
This West Newfield, ME, homeowner had been dealing with issues in their home ranging from a wet basement with a bad slab to sagging floors leading that were only getting worse. The homeowner wanted to keep their basement dry all the time and improve the air quality of their home. Ready to take back control of their home and protect it from any further damage, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems and booked a free estimate. System Design Specialist Rick Russell worked with the homeowner to design a waterproofing and stabilizing system that would protect home and keep the family healthy. Stabilizing the Home The home needed to be stabilized to keep the home secure and stop the first floor from being bouncy when someone walks around. SmartJacks were installed with a new Supplemental Beam to stabilize the floor above. SmartJacks can be adjusted over time to continuously meet the needs of the home and are made of durable steel that is resistant to rust. One of the foundation walls was shifting, so StableLock Wall System was installed to prevent the foundation from further movement. StableLock allows the homeowner to have the benefits of a new foundation wall without the need to lift the home thanks to modern concrete forming techniques. Waterproofing the Basement and Pouring the Slab The waterproofing system began with Drainage Matting being laid down to create an inorganic barrier for the new slab to be installed on and channel water with it’s dimpled design. WaterGuard was then installed around the perimeter to collect and channel water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The TripleSafe features two Zoeller sumps with a battery-powered backup pump that will protect the homeowner from flooding during a storm with a power outage. Water from the TripleSafe is pushed through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that takes the water far away from the home. The waterproofing system is protected against freezing during the winter months with the installation of IceGuard on the Discharge line. Once the waterproofing system was finished, the new slab was poured and smoothed. Now the homeowner has the basement of their dreams, a more stable home, and they never had to leave the comfort of their home.
Crack in Lebanon, ME, Basement Sealed Permanently

Shortly after an internet search, Steve found TC Hafford Basement Systems and gave us a call. We inspected the crack, and quickly got to work applying FlexiSpan to fix the problem. To install Flexispan, we apply a sealant to the crack, to block water trying to enter through the crack. Then we cover this sealant with a foam strip, to further contain water that might enter along the edges of the crack. Finally, another layer of sealant is placed over the foam to completely lock out any water. The homeowner no longer needs to worry about this crack.
WaterGuard Installation Protects Lebanon, ME Basement from Water Damage
A homeownr living in Lebanon, ME had a problem beneath their home. The concrete foundation around their basement was allowing moisture to leak through. This moisture was building up in the basement and causing problems for the homeowner. To get this problem taken care of, this homeowner searched online for a solution. They soon found TC Hafford Basement System and called us to see what we could do for them. Shortly after receiving their free estimate, they gave us the go-ahead to get started on fixing their moisture problem. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work installaing a WaterGuard piping system. This started with a shallow trench being excavated into the perimeter of the floor. Here, WaterGuard pipes were used to surround the basement floor before being buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete. Within the floor, the WaterGuard pipes will take in any moisture through small slits in the base of each pipe. This water is trapped within the pipes and guided beneath the floor to the sump to be removed from the home. To keep up with the water being collected by the WaterGuard, a SuperSump sump pump was installed in this basement floor. The SuperSump can move over 2,600 gallons of water per hour. This water is forced out of the home through a PVC discharge line. To keep the SuperSump operational at all times, an UltraSump backup battery was attached. This battery will activate when the home loses power, maintaining a constant removal of any water that might be gathering beneath the home. With these new additions to their basement, this homeowner should no longer suffer from water leakage. The WaterGuard will handle any leaks before they reach the surface of the floor from now-on!
