Damp Crawl Space In West Gardiner, ME, Protected By CleanSpace
Todd in West Gardiner was starting to notice a buildup of water in his crawlspace. This water seemed to be seeping in through the walls/floor. Needing this issue addressed, Todd gave us a call, and we had a representative head out to take a look. After investigating, we got to work installing CleanSpace Liner. This liner will completely encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace. Floors, walls, and supports are all covered by the liner. This seals the crawlspace off from the outside elements, not allowing for further moisture to enter. Now this homeowner has a dry crawlspace that won’t be a problem again in the future.

WaterGuard Saves Gardiner, ME Basement From Water Damage
A homeowner in Gardiner was experiencing serious problems with water leaking into their basement during heavy rains. The water was beginning to stain the walls of the basement, and the homeowner needed a way to prevent flooding in the future. Seeing TC Hafford Basement Systems on their television, they gave us a call and we had a representative out at the home in no time to give them their free estimate. The homeowner decided on what they wanted done and we got to work! We began by excavating the interior perimeter of the basement floor. This gave us room to lay down a WaterGuard pipe system. It was then covered over with loose rocks and cement to conceal it within the basement floor without reducing functionality. The WaterGuard pip will capture water as it enters the basement through the walls or floor and guide it toward the sump. In the sump, we installed a SuperSump sump pump, which will carry the collected water and push it up and out of the basement. The combination of WaterGuard and SuperSump will guarantee a dry basement for this homeowner for years to come!
Homeowner Wants To Update Old Sump Pump in Gardiner, ME
A Gardiner, ME homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help replacing their old, failing sump pump. System Design Specialist Thomas R. met with the owner to evaluate their basement needs. We installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe has two Zoeller pumps, one as a back up in case there is a pump failure, or both pumps can work together to achieve higher capacity in heavy water. The TripleSafe also comes with a battery back up to protect the pump in the event of power loss. Exterior Discharge Line was installed and buried to remove water from the TripleSafe away from the home.
Bath, ME Basement Completely Waterproofed
Fred, from Bath, ME, had a basement that would leak water regularly, as well as a musty crawlspace. This was only until he saw TC Hafford Basement Systems on TV, and decided to give us a call. Once David Zawistowski, our representative, finished his examination of the basement, it was time to get started. Fred had a full system put in to keep the water out for good! Starting with the WaterGuard piping, which carries off the water coming in around the outer edge of the basement. He also got a Supersump sump pump which pumps the water up and out of the basement, back where it belongs. Where Fred had a door leading outside from the basement, we installed a TrenchDrain, to collect any water coming through under the door, and feed it along to the WaterGuard piping. Meanwhile, in the crawlspace, TC Hafford lined the interior with CleanSpace liner. This keeps out moisture and bacteria that might cause mold or rot to occur underneath the house. After completing our work, Fred made a point to contact us almost a month later to let us know, even after two rain storms, his basement remained perfectly dry!

Arrowsic, ME Homeowner Tired of Moisture in Their Crawl Space
This Arrowsic, ME, homeowner has lived in the home for over 30 years and has always had to deal with moisture in their crawl space. They noticed the problem getting worse in recent years, which raised their concerns about the issue. High moisture and humidity in a crawl space will lead to mold growth and eventually wood rot. Ready to take care of the issue and protect their home from damage, the homeowner booked a free estimate with TC Hafford Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Nima Farshid met with the homeowner and worked with them to design an encapsulation system that would keep the basement dry and protect the health of the home.   To fully encapsulate the crawl space, CleanSpace and Drainage Matting was installed to create an inorganic vapor barrier. Drainage Matting is a durable dimpled matting that is laid on the ground to create a gap between the dirt and CleanSpace. CleanSpace is constructed of a durable, 20-mil-thick, 7-layer polyethylene composition that’s reinforced by polyester cord. CleanSpace reduces moisture and humidity in the crawl space and helps to seal the area against cold drafts in the winter. CleanSpace bright white design helps to reflect light and illuminate the crawl space more, creating a perfect area for storage where the homeowners belongings will be safe. Now that the crawl space is fully encapsulated, the home is protected against moisture and mold and the homeowner can live in their home without having to be worried about their crawl space causing them anymore issues.
Wet Dirt Floor Crawl Space with Freezing Pipes Transformed
This crawl space in Bath, ME, was giving the homeowner a laundry list of issues that were causing them to spend money on costly repairs. Concerned about the water in their crawl space and pipes freezing during the winter months, this homeowner decided to take action and book a free estimate with TC Hafford Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Nick Ciciarelli worked with the homeowner to design a complete encapsulation system that would take care of the dirt floor, drafty walls, and the water coming into their basement.     The area was regraded, and Drainage Matting was laid on the ground to create an inorganic barrier between the dirt and the new Slab that needed to be poured. Before the new Slab could be poured, WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter to catch and channel water to the brand new TripleSafe Sump Pump with Battery Backup. The water has to go somewhere, so the TripleSafe is connected to an Exterior Buried Discharge that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard installed. With the crawl space waterproofed, the new Slab was able to be poured, and SprayFoam was installed along the rim joists and walls where needed to insulate the crawl space and protect the pipes underneath the home from freezing. The last step in setting up this crawl space for success was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier that drains directly to the TripleSafe so the homeowner never has to empty a bucket and the crawl space stays at a safe humidity level all the time.     Now the homeowner is happy knowing their crawl space is no longer a nightmare and their home and family will be safer and healthier.

Waterproofing the Basement To take care of the water in the basement, WaterGuard Perimeter Drain was installed to collect and channel water in the problem areas and channel it to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe holds two Zoeller sumps with an additional Battery Powered Backup sump to protect the homeowner in the case of a power outage. The TripleSafe drains through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that takes the water far from the home. The system is protected against ice buildup with the installation of IceGuard, keeping the system running during the winter.
