WaterGuard perimeter drain was installed where needed to collect groundwater and channel it to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe system contains two Zoeller pumps and a battery-powered backup pump in the case of a power outage during a storm. The TripleSafe drains through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that takes the water far from the home and is protected against ice buildup with the installation of IceGuard. CleanSpace Wall System was installed to create a vapor barrier and channel any moisture to the WaterGuard. The homeowner wanted to protect the air quality in the home, so they chose to go with the Aspen and SaniDry Sedona Bundle. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed in their basement to keep humidity levels at a safe level. The SaniDry Sedona drains into the waterproofing system so the homeowner never has to worry about it not running when it needs to. The Aspen Air Purification system was installed in the living area of the home and covers 1500 sq ft, keeping the air clean and helping to eliminate odors. The homeowner is fully protected against water in their basement, and their home is healthier than before. This pipe will collect water as it inters the basement through the walls or the floor. Transporting it to the sump to be removed. In the sump, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump. This device contains three separate pumps. One primary pump, a backup pump if necessary, and a final battery-powered pump for power outages. To finish off the interior of the basement, we covered the walls in a BrightWall lining. This is a solid plastic that keeps the walls looking clean while directing any moisture down into the WaterGuard piping. Finally, on the exterior of the home, we attached an IceGuard pipe piece to the discharge line leaving from the sump. This IceGuard will ensure water flow will continue even if the lower end of the line is blocked by ice or debris. This homeowner now owns a dry basement, which will stay that way for many years to come!

This is the first line of defense against water trying to enter the basement. This layer is then covered with a foam matting, to act as the secondary barrier protecting against water. Finally the matting is covered in a layer of sealant to lock out any water trying to sneak in. This structure allows for the FlexiSpan to contort to the crack should it shift at all. These hard-plastic panels will collect the moisture as it comes in through the walls, funneling it down to the WaterGuard pipes below as it flows. WaterGuard piping was then laid down within this trench and buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete. Within the floor, these pipes will take in the leaking moistrue, guiding it directly to the sump for removal before it can even reach the surface. We installed a SuperSump pump within the floor to take care of the water-removal process. The SuperSump can output water at a rater of 2,650 gallons per hour, which is plenty to keep this basement water-free. The water leaves the home through a PVC discharge line. Outside the home, just beyond where the discharge line exits the home, an IceGuard pipe segment was attached to protect against ice blocking the line. Any trapped water will be able to escape through special holes in the IceGuard before reaching back up into the home. Finally, a LawnScape discharge port was used to cap the end of the line. This piece has a grate over the end to keep debris from falling into the line while allowing the water to flow out onto the ground. These basement improvements will ensure this homeowner will no longer need to remove the water from their basement themselves. The WaterGuard & SuperSump will keep the basement dry automatically.

With a new vapor barrier below their home, this homeowner’s moisture problem will no longer persist. The CleanSpace liner will keep out any future leakages for years down the road!
