This will protect the basement against ice blocking the lower end of the line. The blocked water will exit through holes in the the IceGuard before reaching back into the basement. We then covered the foam with a second layer of sealant. This final layer will lock out moisture trying to enter through the crack, and finish the FlexiSpan. The IceGuard will protect against blockages lower in the line, such as ice, that may cause a backup into the basement. A special hole in the side of the IceGuard will allow only trapped water to escape the line. Finally, a LawnScape discharge port was attached to the end of the line. This piece blends exposed end of the line into the lawn with a grated end that allows the water to flow out while preventing debris from entering the pipe. With these improvements to their basement, this homeowner can now utilize their basement without any fear of water damage.
