This won’t guarantee a perfectly dry crawlspace, but it is much better than dirt. On top of this concrete slab, we laid down a Drainage Matting. This will stop moisture that enters through the floor or wall from making its way to the center of the crawlspace. Giving it time to drain back out. Now this homeowner no longer has a dirt floor or a wet crawlspace!

Finally, another layer of sealant was applied over the top of the foam to complete the FlexiSpan seals. These FlexiSpan seals will keep water out even if the cracks contort over time. We started this process by filling the two cracks with a sealant. This first layer of sealant acts as a primary guard for keeping out water. Then a layer of foam padding is placed over the two cracks, to hold the first layer in place. This foam also acts as structural support for the repair. Finally a second layer of sealant is added on top of the foam to hold it all in place. The way this FlexiSpan works is that it locks out water, but is still flexible enough to shift, should the walls move under ny circumstance. Now this homeowner no longer needs to worry about water coming in through these two cracks!

The pump will force the water out of the home through a discharge line to eliminate this homeowners moisture problem. The SaniDry will circulate the dried air back into the space, continuing the process until the moisture in the air is brought down to regular levels. Now that the SaniDry is up and running, this homeowner no longer needs to suffer from such a musty basement. The air in this basement will now stay moisture free for many years to come.

After being buried by loose rocks and a fresh coat of concrete, the WaterGuard pipes will now capture any moisture leaking in through the tiny pores and cracks of the foundation. After trapping the water through small slits along the bottom edge of each pipe, the water is guided through the floor to the sump where it will be removed from the home. Within the sump, a SuperSump pump was installed. The SuperSump will take in the water collected by the WaterGuard and force it out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The SuperSump can output over 2,600 gallons of water every hour, giving it plenty of power to handle any rainwater needing to be removed from this home. Outside, two additional pieces of piping were attached to the discharge line to better protect the home from flooding. An IceGuard piece was attached just beyond where the line leaves the side of the home while a LawnScape piece was used to cap the end of the discharge line. The IceGuard is built with special upward facing holes that allow water potentially blocked by ice or debris to escape without backing up into the basement. The LawnScape covers the end of the line with a grate to keep out larger debris while allowing the water to flow out onto the ground. These new installations will work together to ensure this homeowner no longer experiences a flooding basement. The WaterGuard piping & SuperSump combo will fight off any major rainfall that would have otherwise been a problem!

EverLast windows are bright, and form a completely waterproof seal inside their frame. Protecting the crawlspace from the problem which faced the previous set of windows. Then the crawlspace was encapsulated with a CleanSpace Liner. This is a plastic sort of sheet which covers the walls, floors, and supports of the crawlspace to lock out any moisture entering through the surrounding soil. Now this homeowner has two new windows and a waterproof crawlspace!

Living in South Thomaston, ME, a homeowner had recently begun to have water build up in their basement during rainfall. This created a shallow trench around the outer edge of the floor. Here, WaterGuard pipes were laid, surrounding the basement floor. Buried beneath loose rocks and concrete, the WaterGuard pipes will now capture any moisture leaking through the floor using small slits along the lower edges of the pipes. The water trapped within the WaterGuard is then guided trough the floor directly to the sump to be removed from the home. Within the sump, a SuperSump pump was installed. With the WaterGuard feeding directly into the new pump, the water can be removed from the home without ever reaching the interior of the basement in the future. The SuperSump forces the water up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line at a rate of over 2,600 gallons per hour. Nearby, an UltraSump backup battery was attached to the SuperSump. This device will power the SuperSump during power-outages; maintaining a dry basement even during harsh storms. The UltraSump will allow the SuperSump to operate for up to 11,000 gallons of water before requiring a charge. Now that this homeowner has proper basement waterproofing beneath their home, they should no longer experience a flooding basement. The WaterGuard & SuperSump pump will work together to ensure that!
