Homeowner was dealing with a significant amount of water in different areas of her basement. She wanted her home handled by the professionals so she contacted TC Hafford, who came out to assess the space. After consulting with the homeowner, it was decided that a WaterGuard Drainage System and a TripleSafe Sump Pump would be the best course of action for installation.
WaterGuard is a perimeter drain that allows water to travel under the floors service, leaving you a dry basement. While the TripleSafe Sump Pump will collect all of the water from the drain and expel it out of the basement and away from the homes foundation.

System Design Specialist Jordan Tarbox met with the homeowner to design a system that would match what they were looking for. First things first, the old sump pump needed to be removed, and the area prepped for the new SuperSump Plus. The SuperSump Plus will ensure that all groundwater is properly pushed out of the area and through a buried exterior discharge line. With the upgraded system, the homeowner is able to relax and watch TV without worrying about water ruining their space.
Looking for a way to keep any and all moisture out of the space below their home, this Bailey Island, ME homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to see just what we could do for them. After receiving their free estimate, they gave our crew the go-ahead to begin work on the permanent solution they were looking for. First, in order to create a vapor barrier over the exposed earth, a Drainage Matting was laid across the floor and a CleanSpace liner was utilized to encapsulate the entire interior of the crawlspace. This vapor barrier will block any future moisture leaking into the space before it can reach the interior of the crawlspace. This blocked water will flow through channels built into the bottom of the Drainage Matting to where it can most easily drain back into the ground without causing more problems for the homeowner. In order to expediate the water-removal, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed in the floor of the space as well. This device contains three separate pumps each working to keep this crawlspace dry year-round. The while the primary and secondary pumps work using power from the home, the third pump operates on a backup battery to ensure even during storms harsh enough to knock out power, the water-removal process continues.
These waterproofing measures will ensure this homeowner won’t need to suffer from any side effects of moisture build-up in their crawlspace in the future. The vapor barrier & TripleSafe installations will ensure this space remains dry & healthy for years to come!
Our Anson, ME homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate on repairing their leaky basement. They had a horizontal crack in their wall and it was allowing water in. Our System Design Specialist Alan Noyes evaluated the homeowner's needs and prepared a plan to remedy the problem. We installed the CleanSpace Wall System, a SuperSump, as well as WaterGuard.
Waterproofing the basement:
WaterGuard is installed around the perimeter of the basement to channel any water to a SuperSump Plus. CleanSpace Wall System is installed and connected to the WaterGuard, ensuring no water can seep through any cracks and end up on the new slab. We also installed a SuperSump Plus which pumps water out of the basement through an Exterior Buried Discharge line and takes the water far away from the home. The whole system is protected against ice buildup during winter with the installation of IceGuard on the Discharge line. The work was completed by foreman Tyler L. and team.
The customer's basement was constantly at risk due to a failing sump system. Water leaks and the fear of flooding made it hard to enjoy the space, and the unreliable pump added stress with every storm. With the TripleSafe Sump Pump installed, the basement is now dry, secure, and worry-free. The advanced system ensures reliable protection, even during heavy rains, giving the customer peace of mind and a basement they can truly use and enjoy.
