New Home Build Needs Sump Pump Installation in Alton Bay, NH

Homeowners in Alton Bay, NH are having a new home built and wanted to be sure they would not have any issues with water intrusion in their basement. We coordinated with their general contractor to install our TripleSafe sump pump, the top of the line sump system. The TripleSafe sump features two Zoeller cast iron pumps that combined can handle over 6,000 gallons of water per hour. There is also a third battery backup pump to keep the system operating even if the home loses power.

Center Ossippee pumped for TC Hafford Basement Systems

A homeowner from Center Ossippee, NH reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems interested in getting a free estimate for a sump pump to be installed. Our System Design Specialist Rick Russell was able to meet with the homeowner and come up with a plan to install a TripleSafe sump pump along with an exterior discharge line. The TripleSafe includes two Zoeller pumps with an additional Battery Powered Backup pump that keeps the basement dry during a power outage. The TripleSafe drains through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that’s protected against freezing with the installation of IceGuard. With the new sump pump in place the homeowner no longer has to worry about any water issues in their basement.

Sump Pump Installation in West Newfield, Maine

This basement in West Newfield, Maine was taking on water when it rained and when the snow melted. The homeowners reached out for a free estimate to learn how to waterproof the basement. During our free estimate inspection the System Design Specialist used a laser level to identify the low spot in the basement, which is where we place the sump pump. We installed a SuperSump Plus, which can handle over 2,000 gallons of water per hour as needed. We also installed WaterGuard and Trench Drain, which work together to capture water around the perimeter of the basement and channel it to the SuperSump to be pumped away from the home.

Taking Care of an Unused Space

When a homeowner decides to waterproof their basement, it tends to be when they are ready to remodel and use the space without having to be concerned with their belongings being damaged. However, this is not always the case. This Lebanon, ME homeowner had issues with hydro static pressure and wanted to take care of it to protect the health of their home, not to remodel. Out of sight does not always mean out of mind and water penetrating an unused basement still can cause issues even when it is empty. Wanting to protect their home, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems for help.

System Design Specialist Ron Bedard has years of basement waterproofing experience and met with the homeowner for a free estimate to go over their needs and work with them to design a system, specifically, for their home. The star of the system is the TripleSafe Sump Pump that will protect the homeowner from groundwater, relieving the hydro static pressure that causes leaks. WaterGuard was installed in areas that were necessary to aid in capturing and channeling water to the TripleSafe. The water has to go somewhere so the TripleSafe is connected to an Exterior Buried Discharge Line. The Discharge line takes all the water from the TripleSafe and takes it far from the house where it can’t cause a problem. To keep the system running all year even during the freezing Maine winter months, IceGuard is installed on the Discharge line to prevent ice buildup. While this basement may remain an unused space, the homeowner has protected the health of their home and ensured water intrusion won’t cause any troubles.
