This was immediately covered by a foam strip running the length of the crack. This foam would later give the seal the flexibility the name suggests. Finally, a second layer of sealant was applied over the top of the foam, completing the FlexiSpan structure covering the crack. The foam core within the FlexiSpan will allow it to bend to any slight changes in the shape of the crack over time, maintaining a water-tight seal.
