Homeowners in Standish, ME had dealt with water intrusion for years and they were frustrated and tired of trying to manage the leaks. We first installed WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system that collects water and directs it directly to the TripleSafe sump pump system. We also added BrightWall panels around the basement, a durable wall system that seals out moisture. BrightWall is easy to clean, and also helps prevent mold growth. 

Homeowners in Standish, Maine were ready to update and replace their old fiberglass attic insulation. They contacted our Dr. Energy Saver team at TC Hafford Basement Systems to help install TruSoft cellulose blown insulation. TruSoft is made of 85% recycled materials, and requires less manufacturing than fiberglass. It is also treated to be fire and mold resistant. It is easy to install, and can fill all of the nooks and crannies better than fiberglass insulation. These homeowners will enjoy improved energy efficiency!

This homeowner in Mexico, Maine needed a vacation in Mexico after they discovered water coming through the floor of their basement. Wanted to fix the issue, the homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Sam met with the homeowner and put together a plan to keep their basement dry all of the time and make the space usable. To do this Sam designed a full system that would protect the home for its lifetime. 

Starting with some debris removal, the production team installed Drainage Matting and WaterGuard to channel water to a Triple Safe Sump System that will move it far from the house through a buried Discharge Line where it will no longer be an issue. A couple of SmartJacks were added for additional support and once the new Slab is poured, the homeowner will be able to use their basement for the first time. 

Homeowners in Buxton, Maine wanted to replace their old rusted bulkhead doors. We were able to remove and update their bulkhead doors, improving the outside appearance of the home, as well as helping to keep water at bay.

High moisture plagued this Paris, ME crawlspace, and concerned about mold growing, the homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help. System Design Specialist Sam Crowley met with the homeowner and worked with them to design a system that would encapsulate their crawlspace and protect their home from moisture.

CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed to create an inorganic barrier between the outside elements and keep moisture and critters out. CleanSpace is attached to the rim joist with Spray Foam to ensure a complete seal. SmartJacks were installed to replace rusting and deteriorating supports to keep the floor above stable and remove any bounce that the floors once had. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity at safe levels and connected to a Condensate Pump so the homeowner never has to worry about draining a bucket of water. Finally, a Smart Sump Liner was installed so a sump pump can be easily added in the future if the homeowner decides to. Now that the homeowner’s crawlspace is encapsulated, their goal of protecting their home is achieved, and they now have a safe area for storage.
