TC Hafford Basement Systems Before & After Photos

A Kennebunkport, ME homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for crawlspace help. Their old insulation was failing, it was consistently damp and falling away from the home. System Design Specialist Mike P. created a plan to remove the old fiberglass insulation to be replaced with SprayFoam Insulation on the rim joists and walls. SprayFoam acts as both an air and moisture barrier, filling hard to fit nooks and crannies to create and well buttoned up space. We also installed a SmartSump pump system to help with the removal of any water that may come through the floor. 

In Kennebunkport, ME, a homeowner faced persistent water seepage issues, despite having a sump pump. By installing WaterGuard, we ensured effective drainage along the basement perimeter, intercepting seepage before it reached the basement floor. Paired with CleanSpace Walls, the basement was transformed into a dry, secure area. This expertly designed solution not only mitigated existing moisture problems but also enhanced the durability and usability of the entire space, and supported the homeowner's existing sump pump.

Homeowners in Arundel, ME wanted help with their wet crawl space. Their old sump pump was not working properly and needed to be moved since it was not in the lowest spot of the floor, and they were interested in encapsulating the space as well. We jackhammered a new hole in the proper place for a brand new SmartSump pump system. Drainage matting was laid down on the floor, and then the space was encapsulated with CleanSpace vapor barrier. The final step in the process was installing SprayFoam insulation on the rim joists and walls to create an air tight seal and provide improved energy efficiency. The crawl space will now be dry and protected from mold or rot issues due to water.

They knew if their crawl space continued to have water issues it could affect not only the air in their home, but also the structural integrity of their space. We used a three-prong system to waterproof the area, including the installation of a TripleSafe sump pump, SaniDry Sedona air system, and CleanSpace vapor barrier. The CleanSpace is installed with drainage matting to fully seal the crawl space, locking moisture out and preventing mold growth. Drainage matting helps channel ground water underneath the CleanSpace liner directly to the TripleSafe sump pump to be pumped away from the home. The SaniDry Sedona controls the humidity in the crawl space, and has a MERV 8 filter to take care of dust and mold spores.

System Design Specialist Sam C. met with Peru, ME homeowners to assess the water damage in their basement. The owners were tired of dealing with water intrusion and having a wet mess to clean up. Due to the cracks and water intrusion, we poured a new concrete slab, with slab WaterGuard. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the TripleSafe, which features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard. Next, to brighten up the interior of the basement and provide a layer covering the cold concrete walls, BrightWall panels were installed around the entire basement. BrightWall is a durable, easy to clean panel system that never discolors. Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
