To begin the waterproofing process, WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement to catch and channel water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe Sump Pump houses two Zoeller sumps and an additional battery backup in case of a power failure during a storm, keeping the basement protected. In high-traffic areas such as doorways, TrenchDrain was installed and connected to the WaterGuard. A SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity in the basement at a safe level, and because the SaniDry drains directly to the TripleSafe, the homeowner never has to worry about emptying a bucket. To finish the waterproofing system, the TripleSafe was connected to a brand new External Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home, and with the installed IceGuard, ice buildup won't be a problem, and the system will function all year long. System Design Specialist Peter F. created a plan to insulate and encapsulate the space. To fully encapsulate the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. Foamax wall insulation panels were also installed to act as a moisture barrier, as well as insulate the space. The TripleSafe system contains three pumps, two pumps for bulk water removal and one battery-operated pump for when the home is without power. The TripleSafe will force any collected water out of the home through a PVC discharge line. Equipped with IceGuard & LawnScape pipe segments, this discharge line is protected against ice build-up and debris blockages.

Now any moisture entering this basement through the foundation will flow through the WaterGuard piping directly into the TripleSafe pump for removal. This homeowner can now utilize their basement without needing to fear water-damage in the future!

This trapped water is guided through the WaterGuard to the SuperSump pump freshly installed in the floor. Once in the sump, any water is forced from the home through a PVC discharge line protected by an IceGuard pipe segment on the exterior of the home.
