When this Peaks Island, ME homeowner noticed the musty smell coming from their crawlspace, there had already been a moisture problem for some time. Looking to have this remedied, they hired us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, and we got our crew sent over to get the job done! To prevent future leakages from reaching the interior of the crawlspace, a Drainage Matting and CleanSpace liner were utilized to form a vapor barrier. This will brighten up the interior of the crawlspace and hold any moisture on the exterior of the space; allowing it to easily flow back out through the ground below. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate any moisture still present in the space. This will ensure the crawlspace remains completely moisture-free for years down the road!
Living in an old home with an existing vapor barrier, this homeowner was surprised to find their crawlspace would still take on moisture from time to time. To remedy this, they hired us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to replace the old barrier with a new one. After removing the previous barrier, our crew encapsulated the interior of the crawlspace with a CleanSpace vapor barrier. To eliminate any moisture in the atmosphere of the space, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed alongside a Condensate Pump. Now any moisture in the space will be pulled in through the SaniDry and removed from the home through the discharge line leaving the Condensate Pump. Now that this crawlspace has been fitted with a brand-new vapor barrier, this homeowner can rest assured the space will remain moisture-free for the future!
We received a call from a homeowner in New Gloucester, ME and System Design Specialist Tom Rich went out to meet with the homeowner for a free estimate. In order to fully protect the basement, Tom put together a solution using WaterGuard perimeter drain and a TripleSafe Sump Pump. Now the homeowner can rest easy knowing that water will no longer be an issue!
Since moving in, this Cumberland Foreside, ME, homeowner has had issues with puddles in their basement. Wanting to keep the puddles outside, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems to book a free estimate. System Design Specialist Jordan Tarbox met with the homeowner to discuss their goals and design a waterproofing system that would protect the health of the home.
To keep puddles from forming, WaterGuard was installed around the problem areas to catch water and channel it to a SuperSump Plus. The SuperSump Plus will take the water from WaterGuard and any groundwater and push it through an exterior Buried Discharge Line. IceGuard is installed on the Discharge Line, ensuring the system will work year-round without the concern of ice building up and blocking the system.
The homeowner is now able to live worry-free, knowing TC Hafford Basement Systems has solved their water problems and offers annual maintenance to keep the basement dry for the life of the home.
A crack in their basement wall has led to water on their floor, and this North Yarmouth, ME, homeowner wanted to address the issue before it caused any damage to their home or belongings. They reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems to schedule a free estimate, and System Design Specialist Ron Bedard met with the homeowner and worked with them to design a system specific to their home’s basement.
The CleanSpace Wall System was installed over the problem area on the wall to catch and channel water to the newly installed WaterGuard Perimeter drainage system. WaterGuard channels water to a TripleSafe Sump Pump that is powerful enough to handle the water and push it through a Buried Exterior Discharge Line. To prevent ice from building up and to keep the system running all year round, IceGuard was installed on the discharge line. Finally, TrenchDrain was installed in high-traffic areas, catching every bit of water possible, and the old sump pump hole was filled in as it is no longer useful.
Now the home is protected, and the homeowner doesn’t have to worry about cracks creating puddles in their basement.
