Wet Basement In Caribou, ME Kept Dry With WaterGuard
A homeowner in Caribou was experiencing trouble with water leaking into their basement. This problem needed to be resolved immediately, because the homeowner wanted to finish their basement in the near future. Although they wouldn’t be able to finish their basement with regular flooding, they knew they could fix this problem. After a quick internet search, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems to set up a free estimate. They received their free estimate, and our crew got to work! We began by digging a trench around the inside perimeter of the basement floor. This enabled us to lay our WaterGuard pipe system down within the floor. This was then covered over with loose rocks and cement to hide it under the floor without hindering functionality. This WaterGuard will capture any water trying to enter through the walls or floor, guiding it out of the basement. We then covered the walls of the basement with BrightWalls. These are solid plastic panels that hold back water coming in through the upper side of the walls. This water is then funneled to the WaterGuard, where it exits the basement. With these two systems in place, the homeowner can finish their basement without fear. Water damage would not be an issue in the future of this homeowner’s basement!
WaterGuard Protects Madawaska, ME Basement From Water Damage
A homeowner in Madawaska was in the process of finishing their basement, but couldn’t due to wet conditions. Needing a way to stop the water before proceeding with their basement, the homeowner got online to find a fix. This is where they found TC Hafford Basement Systems. They called us right away and set up a meeting with our representative. We gave them their free estimate, and they chose what work they wanted done. We sent in our crew and got to work! We excavated the interior perimeter of the basement floor to begin work. We needed a trench surrounding the basement in order to waterproof it properly. In this trench, we laid down our WaterGuard pipe system. This is a specially designed pipe that captures water as it enters the basement through the walls or the floor. These pipes were covered over with loose rocks and cement to hide them without halting their function. The water collected in the WaterGuard follows the pipes to the sump in the basement. In the sump, we installed a SuperSump sump pump. This pump will take any and all water brought to it and force it up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. This homeowner can now pursue a nice finished basement without needing to worry about water damage. Thanks to WaterGuard, they will no longer have a wet basement!
WaterGuard Piping Keeps Madawaska, ME Basement Safe from Flooding
WaterGuard Piping Keeps Madawaska, ME Basement Safe from FloodingStory: With a basement that would regularly take on water during any rainfall, a homeowner living in Madawaska was in need of some waterproofing. Unable to prevent the water from entering through their concrete foundation, this homeowner searched online for ways to solve their problem. They soon discovered us at TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us for a free estimate. After they heard their options, the homeowner had us begin work on their basement! Once our installation crew arrived, they started this waterproofing with the installation of WaterGuard piping. This required a shallow trench to be excavated into the perimeter of the concrete floor. The WaterGuard pipes were then laid within this trench before being buried by a fresh layer of concrete. Now inside the floor, these pipes will capture any incoming moisture, guiding it directly to the sump where we installed a SuperSump pump. This pump will force the collected water up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The SuperSump can handle up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour. This will ensure the sump is never overwhelmed by heavy rain. With their basement waterproofing complete, this homeowner is now without worry during any rainfall, knowing their new WaterGuard piping system is keeping their basement floor dry.
Crawlspace In Chebeague Falls, ME Sealed With CleanSpace
A homeowner in Chebeague Falls was experiencing trouble with pools of water forming in their crawlspace. Needing this issue addressed, they were seeking the right company for the job. A friend, and previous customer, recommended TC Hafford Basement Systems to this homeowner and they chose us. We had a representative give a free estimate and started work on the home in no time! The water was entering the crawlspace through the walls and floor. Slowly leaking in through the surrounding soil during heavy rains or melting snow. In order to hold back this water, we encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace Liner. This liner is made of a sturdy plastic that will completely lock out any moisture trying to find its way into the interior of the crawlspace. Now this homeowner is worry free with a dry crawlspace.
Sweden, ME Crawlspace Sealed With CleanSpace
A homeowner in Sweden started to notice a musty smell emanating from their crawlspace. This smell was being caused by moisture in the air, and potential mold growth. The homeowner needed a way to put an end to this moisture problem before it got any worse. Asking around for potential fixes, the homeowner heard about TC Hafford Basement Systems. They gave us a call and we had a representative out at the home shortly after to give the homeowner a free estimate. They decided on what work they wanted done and we got to work. In order to hold back any moisture trying to enter the crawlspace through the floor or walls, we covered them with a CleanSpace Liner. This liner is made out of a plastic material that prevents water from finding its way through to the interior of the crawlspace. Thus, reducing the amount of moisture entering the crawlspace to practically nothing. Now to guarantee the crawlspace stays dry, we installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier. This will suck in air from the crawlspace, pull the moisture out of it and push the air back out into the crawlspace. This will then cycle moist air towards the dehumidifier, continuing until there is no moisture left in the air. This dry air now eliminates the environment in which mold grows, maintaining a smell free and safe crawlspace for the homeowner!
Frye Island, ME Basement Waterproofed The Right Way
A couple in Frye Island was looking for a way to waterproof their basement and crawlspace. They had been taking on water during heavy rains for a few months now, and wanted something done about it. They got in contact with us at TC Hafford Basement Systems and arranged to have their home looked at. We gave the homeowners their free estimate and then we got to work! We started with the basement of the home by installing a SmartSump sump pump. This pump will collect water as it enters the sump and push it up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. On the outside of the home, on the same discharge line, we attached a unique IceGuard piece to the piping. This IceGuard will allow water to continue to flow should the pipe become blocked by ice. Finally, we moved onto the crawlspace, which was also in need of waterproofing. We lined the entire interior of the crawlspace with a CleanSpace Liner, except for the ceiling. This lining is made of a plastic that water cannot pass through, holding it back from entering the crawlspace interior, maintaining a dry atmosphere. Now this couple no longer has a flooding basement to worry about!
Damp Basement In Isleboro, ME Kept Dry With SaniDry
A homeowner in Isleboro noticed their basement was beginning to give off a musty smell. This was a clear sign of gathering moisture and potential mold growth. This was a problem for the homeowner and they asked around for a way to help the situation. They soon heard about TC Hafford Basement Systems from a satisfied previous customer and called us right away. We gave them their free estimate, and then we got to work! The solution for their moist basement was a SaniDry XP dehumidifier. We installed the SaniDry XP in the basement and it began to work to eliminate the moisture in the air. It takes in the surrounding air, dries it out, and pushes it out into the basement to allow for more moist air to cycle back towards it to become dried out. This dehumidifier will now maintain a dry, healthy atmosphere within the basement, removing the risk of mold growth and the smell along with it!
Wet Basement In West Point, ME Waterproofed With WaterGuard
A homeowner in West Point had a sump pump, yet water would still gather in puddles around their basement floor. The sump pump wasn’t removing the water like it was supposed, so the homeowner looked into ways to resolve this issue. They soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems in the Yellow Pages and gave us a call to get a free estimate of the repair costs. The homeowner chose what work they wanted done on their basement and we sent our crew over! We began by excavating the interior perimeter of the basement floor. This gave us a trench to bury our WaterGuard pipe system within. This is a special pipe that will take in water as it tries to leak into the basement through the walls or floor before it reaches the interior. It is then buried under loose rocks and cement to hide it under the floor without diminishing functionality. Next, we removed the old sump pump, it wasn’t working properly and needed to be replaced. In its place, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is composed of three pumps; a primary pump for the majority of the water, a secondary pump in case the primary malfunctions or can’t handle all the water, and a third, battery-backup pump for when the power is out and water still needs to be pumped out. Now this homeowner has a system in place to maintain a dry basement for the future!
Leaking Basement In China, ME Protected By WaterGuard
A homeowner in China was having trouble with water leaking in through both their basement floor and a crack in the wall. This leakage was becoming a problem because it was beginning to show signs of water damage within the basement. The homeowner soon saw TC Hafford Basement Systems on the news, and knew we would be the right choice to solve their basement problem. They contacted us shortly after and we sent a representative to inspect the basement for the homeowner’s free estimate. The homeowner made the choice of what work they wanted done, and we got to work! We began by digging up the inside perimeter of the basement floor. This made way for our WaterGuard pipe system to be laid. The WaterGuard will capture water as it enters the basement through the walls or floor, guiding it out of the basement through a discharge pipe. Next, we sealed the crack in the basement wall with a Polyurethane Injection. We covered the crack with a sealant, and then injected, through tubes placed in the sealant, Polyurethane. Which then spreads to fill the entire crack, solidifying to form a water-tight seal. Now with these systems in place, the homeowner will no longer experience trouble with water gathering in their basement.

The water that is captured is guided to the sump, where we installed a SuperSump sump pump. The SuperSump will take this water and push it up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line.
