Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement where water was seeping in to capture it and channel it to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup pump. The battery backup pump protects the homeowner during a rain event when their power goes out. TrenchDrain was installed in high-traffic areas and around appliances, then connected to the WaterGuard. The TripleSafe was connected to an Exterior Buried Discharge line that takes the water away from the home and protects the waterproofing system against ice buildup with the installation of IceGuard. Finally, to keep the humidity in the basement at a safe level and prevent mold and musty odors, a SaniDry Sedona was installed. The homeowner is happy that their basement is protected and they can use their basement however they want without worrying about damage.

While pouring the new slab, a Drainage Matting, WaterGuard piping and a SuperSump pump were all installed within. The Drainage Matting creates a layer below the slab to channel moisture toward the outer edge of the foundation. Surrounding the basement, hidden just below the surface of the floor is the WaterGuard piping. These pipes will capture any leaking water and guide it directly to the SuperSump to be pumped from the home before reaching the surface. Finally, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the basement walls. This liner will not only brighten up the basement for future use, but it will also block any moisture leaking in from the walls and direct it down into the WaterGuard for efficient water-removal.

As soon as our crew arrived at the home, their first objective was to excavate a trench into the perimeter of the concrete basement floor. This allowed for our WaterGuard piping system and a new SuperSump sump pump to be installed in the floor of the basement. Once covered by a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard piping will capture any leaking moisture in the future and guide it to the SuperSump before it has the chance to accumulate on the surface of the floor. The water will then exit the basement through the discharge line coming from the sump. This line, protected by an IceGuard pipe segment, will carry the water a distance from the home before depositing it onto the ground.

With a properly waterproofed basement, this homeowner can expect their basement to once again remain dry for many years into the future. The WaterGuard piping will now protect this basement from any heavy rainstorms that might have caused problems for the homeowner.

CleanSpace Wall System was installed on the ledge and walls to act as a vapor barrier and channel water to the new WaterGuard system that was installed. WaterGuard collects water and channels it to the SuperSump, keeping water off the basement floor. SprayFoam was installed to insulate the basement and seal the CleanSpace to the wall. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed in the basement to keep humidity at a safe level, preventing musty odors and mold growth. Now the homeowner is happy knowing their basement is dry, more energy efficient, and healthier. They can use their basement as they please without the risk of their belongings being damaged or ruined by mold.
