A condo unit in South Portland, ME was having issues with water intrusion. The property manager did not want the water to affect neighboring units' basements. System Design Specialist Ron B. met with the owner and property manager to give a free estimate on the waterproofing repairs.    We installed a TripleSafe sump pump system to remove any water out of the unit and away from the home. The TripleSafe feathers two Zoeller pumps so there is a back up pump in the event of a pump failure. It also has a battery back up in case of any power loss. WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement to capture water and channel it directly to the TripleSafe. We also intalled CleanSpace Wall System along the wall neighboring another unit to add extra protection since it provides a vapor barrier.

The water is evacuated from the pump through a PVC discharge line. On the exterior of the home, we attached a specially designed piece of pipe to this line, known as an IceGuard. The IceGuard will allow water to flow even if the lower end of the pipe is blocked by ice or other debris.
