Growing tired of having to climb a ladder more and more or asking a friend to clean their clogged gutters, this South Portland, ME, homeowner was ready for a change. The homeowner called Gutter Shutter by TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Josh Hamel met with the homeowner, and together they designed a Gutter Shutter system that would keep them off the ladder of their 1950’s home.
Gutter Shutter features a seamless design with a gutter guard for added protection, keeping the system clog-free and working all the time. Gutter guards prevent blockages created by a build-up of leaves, twigs, and any other debris that could fall on the homeowner’s roof. Keeping organic material out of the gutter also prevents a number of issues, such as mildew growth, rotting fascia, roof damage, and basement flooding. Gutter Shutter is formed and cut on location to the specific needs of the home. Since the gutters are cut on location, the gutters can be as long or short as necessary without the need to seam two gutters together, creating a unified product that is less susceptible to issues.
The homeowner no longer needs to climb a ladder and is protected with Gutter Shutter installed on their home.
For this South Portland, ME, homeowner, their old gutter just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Clogging and growing mildew, the homeowner wanted to take care of the issue and protect their home from expensive repairs caused by bad gutters. Worried about soil erosion and damage to their homes roof or foundation, they called Gutter Shutter by TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Jeff Shuhmacher met with the homeowner and worked with them to choose a Gutter Shutter system that would fit their needs and protect their home. Excited about the benefits of Gutter Shutters clog-free design, the homeowner scheduled an appointment for installation.
First the old gutters were removed from the home, and instead of the homeowner having to worry about disposing of the old gutter, TC Hafford takes on the job of getting rid of them, so the finished job site is left clean. Gutter Shutter features a durable, six-inch aluminum construction that is formed and cut on site, resulting in a seamless gutter that is cut perfectly to the sections of the home that it is attached to. Gutter Shutter comes in many different colors, allowing the homeowner to pick the best match for their home. Once the new gutter is installed, the shutter can be attached to the top. The unique shutter design allows water to easily flow into the gutter without allowing in any debris such as leaves, pine needles, or even small critters. No debris means no clogs, and with Gutter Shutters larger size, more water is able to flow through the gutter, even during the winter months, preventing water from trickling over or icicles forming that could become dangerous. With Gutter Shutter done being installed, the homeowner is happier knowing that their home is more protected than before and they no longer have to worry about their old gutters causing them costly repairs to their home and landscape.
This Cape Elizabeth, ME, homeowner was tired of their old sump pump going in and out and not working as it should, allowing water to cover their basement floor. The homeowner booked a free estimate with TC Hafford Basement Systems, and System Design Specialist Peter Folsom worked with the homeowner to design a new sump system that would fit their needs. A TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed in the basement's low spot to capture groundwater and take care of it before it could cause any problems. The Triple Safe features two Zoeller sumps to handle heavy rain situations with the added protection of a battery backup pump. The water gets pumped out of the basement and far away from the home through a Buried Discharge Line. Maine gets cold, so to prevent ice buildup from being a problem during the winter months, IceGuard was installed on the Discharge line to ensure the system will run with no hiccups. The homeowner is happy and can use their basement freely without worrying about their items being damaged by water.
With the intention of finishing their basement, this Portland, ME, homeowner wanted to address the puddles that form when it rains. They reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems and met with System Design Specialist Jordan Tarbox to discuss waterproofing solutions for their basement. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter, with the CleanSpace Wall System attached. Water is directed to a TripleSafe Sump Pump, which pushes it out through an exterior discharge line that’s buried underground, keeping it out of sight and directing it to a location where it will no longer be an issue. The homeowner is now able to finish their basement without the risk of water damage, saving money and protecting the health of their home.
