SuperSump & CleanSpace Maintain Dry Richmond, ME Crawlspace
Challenge
A Richmond, ME homeowner had been struggling with moisture beneath their home. Water was leaking into their crawlspace, creating a very damp atmosphere within the space. Worried these damp conditions might lead to a mold problem, the homeowner searched for a solution right away. After making their choice, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems to have their crawlspace waterproofed.
Solution
We sent out our installation crew and soon got to work on this crawlspace. To begin, a SuperSump sump pump was installed in the floor of the space. This device will take in the water gathering across the floor, forcing it up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The SuperSump can handle up to 2,650 gallons of water every hour, plenty of power to keep any rainstorm at bay. We then encapsulated the space with a CleanSpace liner. This liner covers all of the walls as well as the floor with a thin plastic sheet. This locks almost all of the would-be leaks on the outside, leaving any floor-based leaks to be dealt with by the SuperSump.
With their new system in place, this homeowner can now rest assured their crawlspace will stay dry for the future. The SuperSump will keep this crawlspace completely free of water for many years to come!
