When the crew arrived at the home, they began work on keeping the crawlspace dry by installing a SmartDrain system within the natural low point of the floor. This will pull in any gathering water and drain it away from the home. Next, a Drainage Matting was laid across the floor of the space. This mat, resting on grooves in itself, forms channels against the floor below. The water blocked by the finished vapor barrier will follow these channels to the drain. Finally, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace. This forms a water-tight seal against any outside moisture. Any leaking water will now gather on the exterior of this barrier and flow downward to the floor, where it will drain out of the home.

With these new improvements below their home, this homeowner should soon notice the musty smell fade from their home. The CleanSpace barrier will keep their crawlspace dry and healthy in the future!
