This homeowner living in Washington, ME had a problem below their home. The sump in their basement where water was supposed to escape through had recently started to back up and overflow during rainfall, causing flooding in their basement. Worried about the potential for damage to the property, the homeowner searched online for a solution right away. When our installation crew arrived at the property, their first task was to install a TripleSafe sump system within the old, failing sump. The TripleSafe houses three pumps inside itself that act to force collected water up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. A WaterGuard piping system which was buried beneath the perimeter of the concrete basemen floor will capture leaking moisture in the future and guide it to the TripleSafe for removal. Two of the three pumps within the TripleSafe will do the majority of the water-removal, while the third pump, which is battery-operated, will remain inactive until the home loses power. This way, the water is removed from the home in any weather, without even reaching the surface of the floor.

Now that this homeowner has a functional water-removal system again, they can make better use of their basement without worrying about moisture damage. The TripleSafe pump working alongside a WaterGuard piping system will ensure this basement floor stays dry for years down the road!

When this homeowner moved into a home that had a concrete foundation, basement flood was not something they expected. When the installation crew arrived at the home, their first task was to install WaterGuard piping. To get this done, a shallow trench was excavated into the perimeter of the concrete floor. Here, the WaterGuard was laid, surrounding the basement. To conceal the piping within the floor without hindering function, the WaterGuard was buried underneath some lose rocks before being covered with a fresh layer of concrete. Small slits along the bottom of the WaterGuard pipes capture any leaking moisture inside the floor and prevent it from reaching the surface of the floor in the future.
The water caught by the WaterGuard is guided through the floor to the sump where we installed a TripleSafe pump system. The TripleSafe contains three individual pumps that force water up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The first and second pumps inside the TripleSafe handle the removal of the majority of the captured water, with the secondary pump only activating when the primary requires extra power. The third pump is a battery backup pump that will stay inactive until the home loses power. Then this pump will take on the water removal until power returns.

With their new waterproofing complete, a flooding basement is no longer something this homeowner needs to worry about! The WaterGuard & TripleSafe installation will keep this basement dry for years to come.
