As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to start work on the crack right away, scraping away any debris around the crack with a coarse brush. This will help our seal adhere to the wall. To begin the FlexiSpan installation, a first layer of sealant was applied within and slightly around the crack. This was immediately covered by a foam strip running the length of the crack. This foam would later give the seal the flexibility the name suggests. Finally, a second layer of sealant was applied over the top of the foam, completing the FlexiSpan structure covering the crack. The foam core within the FlexiSpan will allow it to bend to any slight changes in the shape of the crack over time, maintaining a water-tight seal.

The old sump was nearly useless at this point, so we used an EverLast Door to cover the old sump over. We then dug out a new sump, to emplace our TripleSafe sump pump. This pump, as its name suggests, has three separate pumps within it to guarantee functionality. The second pump is in place for when the primary pump malfunctions or can’t completely handle the current level of water. The third pump is a batter powered backup pump for the chance of any power outage within the home. This pump pushes the water outside through a PVC discharge line. Once outside the home, the water travels through a specially designed pipe called an IceGuard along the discharge line. This piece allows water to continue to exit the basement should the lower end of the pipe become blocked by ice or other debris; preventing the new TripleSafe sump pump from backing up and flooding the basement.
