Insulation Services Photo Album: Saving Energy and Keeping Your Crawl Space Clean

Dampness, rot, and rodents are not how you want to describe the conditions of your crawl space, but for this Hancock, ME homeowner, this is the reality. After owning the home for 15 years and looking to eventually make this their forever home, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems for help.   System Design Specialist Nima Farshid met with the homeowner and spent time in the crawl space to design a system that would meet the needs of the home and the expectations of the homeowner. This included removing the old insulation and debris so that the work could begin. CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was laid down to create an inorganic barrier that keeps the outside elements where they belong. Encapsulating the crawl space ensures that wind, moisture, and critters can’t cause damage to the home. Wanting to make sure the home stays energy efficient, Spray Foam was installed to seal and insulate the area. Finally, a CleanSpace Vent Cover was installed to fully encapsulate the crawl space.   The homeowner can rest easy knowing their home is protected from the elements and is more energy efficient, saving them money on their energy bill in the future.
