Vapor Barrier Installation Keeps Biddeford Pool, ME Crawlspace Dry
Challenge
A homeowner living in Biddeford Pool, ME owned a crawlspace which would always seem to be damp. This dampness would come from rainwater leaking into the space through the surrounding earth. Tired of living with these damp conditions, the homeowner sought a solution online. Once they found TC Hafford Basement Systems, they knew exactly who to call. Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the crawlspace right away by installing a vapor barrier to hold back future potential leaks. This started with a Drainage Matting being laid across the floor of the crawlspace. The mat sits just above the surface of the floor so that water beneath it can pool and drain back through the ground without being able to reach the open air of the crawlspace. Over the top of this, we encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace liner. This liner covers all of the walls as well as the floor of the space to lock out any water that may try to leak into the space.
With their finished vapor barrier in place, this homeowner will no longer need to struggle with a wet crawlspace beneath their home. The CleanSpace Liner & Drainage Matting will ensure this crawlspace remains dry for years to come!
