CleanSpace Liner Eliminates Saint Albans, ME Moisture Problem

Challenge

A homeowner of Saint Albans, ME had been living with a musty smell coming from there crawlspace. After living with this smell for some time, the homeowner grew tired of it and put their foot down. Wanting this moisture issue solved right away, the homeowner called our crack team at TC Hafford Basement Systems.

Solution

Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work right away on the crawlspace. To begin, the floor was Re-Graded to level it out and remove any debris. After this, a Drainage Matting was laid across the floor. This matting contains the puddles of moisture beneath itself while allow room for the water to flow and find the best location to drain away through. Finally, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the crawlspace. This thin plastic sheet covers all of the walls as well as the floor. This locks out outside moisture preventing any future moisture problems from taking root in this crawlspace.

With their new waterproofing in place, the unpleasant smell this homeowner has been living with will soon fade away. This new vapor barrier will ensure this crawlspace interior remains dry for many years to come!
