Challenge

Jud & Patience had been living with a moist crawlspace for years. But once they decided to get it waterproofed, they came to TC Hafford Basement Systems.

Solution

With a large amount of moisture built up in the crawlspace, this couple was at high risk of mold growth. This mold growth would definitely cause a bad, musty smell, and it could also lead to potential health risks for Jud & Patience. To reduce the moisture coming in through the walls of the space, we encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace liner. Locking out the moisture before it reaches the interior of the space will help to eliminate any mold problem trying to spread within the crawlspace.

Now that the moisture has been mostly dealt with, we needed to install a SaniDry XP to finish the job. The SaniDry XP is a dehumidifier which will take in the moist air from the crawlspace, and remove the moisture before fanning it back out into the space. This fanning will in turn, return more moist air back to the SaniDry, repeating the process until the air is dry and healthy.

The CleanSpace Liner and SaniDry XP combo should be more than enough to eliminate any moisture issues these homeowners were having. Now Jud & Patience can live without fear of mold.
