Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Snow Melting Leading to a Wet Basement

In Hampden, ME, this homeowner had a problem with their basement. Anytime the snow melted or heavy rain came down, their basement would get wet. Flooding twice last year, this homeowner was ready to take care of their basement troubles and called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. Eager to help, System Design Specialist Craig Ziegenbein met with the homeowner and worked with them to design a system that was specific to their needs.   The homeowner wanted to use their basement year-round for storage, so keeping the whole basement dry was important to them. WaterGuard was laid around the perimeter of the basement, with TrenchDrain in high-traffic areas. WaterGuard collects and channels the water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump, and TrenchDrain ensures all water is collected at the entryways. The TripleSafe Sump Pump is capable of pushing all the water from the WaterGuard out of the basement and through the new Buried Discharge Line. To make sure the system works during the freezing winter months, IceGuard was attached to the Buried Discharge Line to prevent ice buildup. Now the homeowner can use their basement as they please since their basement is fully waterproof and will stay dry all the time.
