This Bar Harbor, ME home was just purchased, and the new homeowner wanted to protect their investment and maintain a healthy home. With tourism being so popular in Maine, it’s important to make sure your property is better than the rest. Part of doing this is making sure the home is healthy, so the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. The goal is to make the basement a dry and usable space as soon as possible. System Design Specialist Mark Smith met with the homeowner and together they put together a plan that would not only meet the needs of the homeowner but ensure that the home will be protected against water and any other outside element.  First thinks first, the current concrete slab floor needs to be addressed. Mark put together a system using WaterGuard with a new slab and drainage matting to keep the floor dry and usable. The CleanSpace Wall System was installed and attached to the WaterGuard to channel any water to the TripleSafe Sump Pump System where it will be taken far away from the house through a buried discharge line. Now with no more water coming into the basement, not only is the home protected, but the homeowner’s investment as well.
