You don't want that in a space dedicated to family.  For these homeowners, we installed an UltraSump battery back-up pumping system with an alarm. This will ensure a peace of mind for the homeowners even during heavy rain and power outages. If the main pump fails to keep up or if the power goes out, there's a secondary pump that runs off battery power when needed to prevent any flooding from happening. We also installed WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system to direct water flow from the walls into the sump pump.
