Augusta, ME - WaterGuard and TripleSafe Sump Pump Installation
Challenge
Tired of the ever-intrusive water in her basement when heavy rains occurred, Connie decided to finally do something about it.
Solution
With a ground-level garage and basement-like space all connected on the first floor of her house, it took approximately 116 feet of WaterGuard to complete a perimeter drainage system. In addition to that, our team also installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump to ensure that no amount of rain will be too much for this space ever again! When one pump fails or can’t keep up, the next pump kicks on to pick up the slack; the third pump is battery-powered in case a severe storm knocks out power and the other two are unable to perform. Also included in the drainage system was about twenty feet of TrenchDrain which is more applicable than WaterGuard in areas like stairways, doorways, and along other openings because the grated cover allows for the best water access from above, and can also be removed easily to clear the drainage channel in the event that it becomes clogged.
Outside, we installed IceGuard and LawnScape: two crucial pieces to our patented system. IceGuard allows water to escape your home when/if a discharge line freezes, which would be a constant worry here in the great state of Maine without our patented design. Finally, our team installed LawnScape: the final outlet for water being pumped by the TripleSafe Sump away from the home.
Connie is now calmly awaiting the first big rain storm since installation to test the new system out, but we here at TC Hafford know that she and her home have and will continue to be taken care of.
