Ossipee, NH Crawlspace Kept Water-Free with CleanSpace Installation
Challenge
A homeowner living in Ossipee, NH had been experiencing troubles with the crawlspace beneath their home. Moisture from rainfall would leak into the space, causing the interior of the space to become increasingly damp and musty. The homeowner, seeking ways to resolve this problem, soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us to set up a free estimate. After hearing their options, the homeowner hired us to get the job done!
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to begin work on the space right away by laying a Drainage Matting across the floor. This began the installation of a vapor barrier meant to prevent moisture build-up. The Drainage Matting sits just above the surface of the floor while preventing the water beneath itself from entering the atmosphere of the crawlspace. The water trapped beneath is allowed enough space to flow to the best location for draining back into the ground. To complete the vapor barrier, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the entire crawlspace interior. This will prevent any outside moisture from reaching into the crawlspace in the future.
With their new vapor barrier, this homeowner will no longer face a moisture problem beneath their home. The Drainage Matting and CleanSpace will keep any rainfall locked outside the home.
