A couple of homeowners living in Vassalboro, ME were looking for a way to waterproof the crawlspace beneath their home. After some rainwater leaked into the space and lingered for some time, the homeowners wanted to have the space protected from future leakages. Solution
As soon as our installation crew arrived on the property, they moved straight to the basement to begin work a vapor barrier to keep out moisture. To start, a Drainage Matting was laid across the floor of the space. This mat will hold moisture beneath itself while sitting just above the surface; allowing for any water beneath it to flow toward the best location for draining back into the ground. Next, a CleanSpace Liner was used to encapsulate the interior of the space to complete the vapor barrier. This liner covers all of the walls, as well as the floor of the space with a thin sheet of plastic. The CleanSpace will completely prevent any future leakages from entering the interior of this crawlspace from the exterior of the home.
With their new vapor barrier in place, these homeowners should no longer need to worry about any moisture build-up beneath their home. The Drainage Matting & CleanSpace Liner will work together to keep this crawlspace dry for years to come!
