South China, ME Basement Moisture Problem Solved with Dehumidifier Installation
Challenge
A homeowner that lived in South China, ME owned a basement which would never flood, but moisture was still accumulating in the atmosphere of the space. This damp air wasn’t a problem for the homeowner at first, but soon after a musty smell began to permeate the home, the homeowner knew they needed to have the moisture dealt with. They called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, and we got to work on solving this homeowner’s moisture problem.
Solution
As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home they began work on the solution for this homeowner. To begin, a SaniDry XP dehumidifier was installed on the floor of the basement. This device will take in the surrounding damp air, separating the moisture from it. The dried air is then recirculated back into the basement where it can cycle more damp air back toward the SaniDry. A condensate pump was installed near the SaniDry, connected to allow the collected water to be pumped out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The dampness in this basement should soon be a problem of the past.
With their new waterproofing in place, the musty smell that bothered this homeowner should clear up in no time. The SaniDry XP & Condensate Pump will keep the air in this basement moisture-free for years to come!
