CleanSpace Installation Keeps Greene, ME Crawlspace Water-Free
Challenge
A homeowner living in Greene, ME had begun to notice a musty smell in some places around their home. This was caused by moisture accumulating in the crawlspace beneath the home, which was allowing for mold to grow. Looking to have this moisture problem taken care of right away, the homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems. After receiving their free estimate, the homeowner had us get started on the waterproofing.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the crawlspace right away. To keep water from entering, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the space. This covered all of the walls as well as the floor with a thin plastic sheet. This liner will completely lock out any moisture that might have otherwise leaked in. Next, a SaniDry CX dehumidifier was installed on the floor of the space. This device will take in the damp air around the space, separating the moisture from it. The dried air is then circulated back into the crawlspace while the collected water is removed from the home through a discharge line.
With their new waterproofing in place, this homeowner should no longer be bothered by a musty smell around their home. The CleanSpace liner & SaniDry will keep this crawlspace free of water for many years to come!
