FlexiSpan Seal Maintains Dry Harpswell, ME Basement
Challenge
A homeowner living in Harpswell, ME was having trouble with water entering their basement through a newly formed crack running along one of their concrete foundation walls. Unable to stop the leakage on their own, the homeowner sought a solution online. They soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us right away to receive their free estimate. After our sales representative gave the homeowner their estimate, they decided to have us do the work for them and we got to work!
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on sealing this crack with a FlexiSpan seal. This three-layer seal begins with an initial layer of sealant being applied within the crack. A foam matting was then used to cover the sealant, covering the length of the crack. Finally, a second layer of sealant was applied over the crack, completing the FlexiSpan structure. The foam layer allows for this seal to shift to any slight changes in the shape of the crack, hence the name “FlexiSpan.”
With their newly sealed wall, this homeowner will no longer need to suffer from a damp basement floor. The FlexiSpan will keep water from leaking in through this crack for many years to come!
