WaterGuard Piping Protects Lincoln, ME Basement from Flooding
Challenge
A homeowner that lived in Lincoln, ME was having trouble keeping their basement water-free. Even with a sump pump in the floor, water was still finding ways to leak in through their concrete foundation to form puddles all across the basement. Wanting to put an end to this flooding, the homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to solve their basement problems.
Solution
As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to begin the waterproofing of this foundation by excavating a shallow trench into the perimeter of the floor. This new trench, surrounding the basement floor, was then lined with WaterGuard piping before being filled back in with fresh concrete. The WaterGuard piping will act beneath the surface of the floor to capture any leaking moisture, guiding it straight to the sump pump already installed in this basement. Now no more moisture will leak through the concrete onto the floors surface.
With their new waterproofing in place, this homeowner will no longer need to intervene in keeping their basement dry. The WaterGuard piping will keep water from reaching the floors surface for many years to come!
