Sump System Upgrade Protects Lebanon, ME Basement from Flooding
Challenge
A homeowner living in Lebanon, ME owned a basement which would regularly take on water during rainfall. The sump they had in the floor of the basement wouldn’t always be able to keep up with the water entering the space, allowing the water to pool up across the floor. Tired of their basement taking on water, the homeowner searched for a solution to their problem online. They soon found TC Hafford basement Systems and gave us a call right away to get us on the job!
Solution
As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement right away. To keep water from overwhelming the sump in the future, a SuperSump sump pump was installed in the floor of the basement. This pump can handle up to 2,650 gallons of water every hour, which is forced up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. To protect the new pump against power-outages, an UltraSump backup battery was hooked up to the SuperSump. This device will supply the SuperSump with a lifespan of 11,000 gallons worth of water-removal before requiring a charge. This will ensure the basement remains dry in any weather!
With their newly upgraded sump system, this homeowner no longer has to worry about their sump becoming overwhelmed and flooding their basement. The SuperSump and UltraSump combination will keep this basement floor dry for many years to come!
