FlexiSpan Seal Keeps Eliot, ME Basement Water-Free
Challenge
With a moisture problem beneath their home, an Eliot, ME homeowner was in the market for some basement waterproofing. A crack that had opened up along one of the walls was allowing for outside moisture to easily leak into the space. This water was pooling up on the floor and creating problems for the homeowner. Looking to have this crack sealed, the homeowner sought a solution online. They soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems and contacted us to get the job done!
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the scene, they were able to begin work on the sealing of this crack right away. To keep water from entering in the future, a FlexiSpan seal was used to complete this job. This three-step installation begins with an initial layer of sealant being applied over the crack, after it is brushed clear of debris. A foam mat is then placed on top of this initial layer. A second layer of sealant is then applied over the top of the mat, completing the FlexiSpan. The foam will allow the seal the flexibility to conform to any slight shifts in the shape of the crack in the future, while the sealant keeps any and all moisture locked on the other side of the crack.
This homeowner can now rest assured their basement will not flood during any rainfall. The FlexiSpan seal will keep this crack from leaking for many years into the future!
