Sump Upgrade Keeps Waterboro, ME Basement Water-Free
Challenge
A homeowner living in Waterboro, ME was having some trouble beneath their home. The sump in their basement wasn’t keeping up with the water that would leak in, causing some flooding in the space. This accumulation of water was beginning to cause problems for the homeowner. Needing a solution fast, they searched online and soon came across TC Hafford Basement Systems. They gave us a call and arranged to have us solve their problem after their received their free estimate!
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement right away. To keep up with the amount of water needing to be removed from the space, a SuperSump sump pump was installed in the basement floor. The SuperSump can handle up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour, which is forced up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. This will be plenty of power to keep the basement floor free of water. On a nearby wall, an UltraSump backup battery was attached and connected to the SuperSump. This battery will activate if the home loses power, enabling the sump to continue operating for up to 11,000 gallons worth of water before requiring a charge.
With these sump upgrades in place, this homeowner can now use their basement without the fear of water damage to their property. The SuperSump & UltraSump combination will keep this basement floor dry for years to come!
