WaterGuard Protection Keeps Gray, ME Basement Water-Free
Challenge
A homeowner from Gray, ME had been living with some problems beneath their home for some time. Even with a concrete foundation beneath their home, water would still leak into their basement during any hard rainfall. Worried that this might lead to water damage in their basement, the homeowner sought a solution to their problem online. They soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us right away to get us on the job!
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement right away by excavating a shallow trench into the perimeter of the floor. Within this trench, WaterGuard piping was laid down, surrounding the basement. These pipes were then buried beneath loose rocks and fresh concrete to seal them within the floor. The WaterGuard pipes will act to capture all of the leaking moisture from now-on, directing it to the newly installed SuperSump before it can ever reach the surface. The SuperSump we installed within the basement will force any collected water up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The SuperSump can remove over 2,600 gallons of water every hour; plenty of power to keep this basement floor water-free.
With this new installation in place, this homeowner no longer has to worry about any moisture damage taking root beneath their home. The WaterGuard & SuperSump combination will keep this basement dry for years into the future!
