Proper Waterproofing Protects Topsham, ME Basement From Water Damage

A homeowner living in Topsham, ME was experiencing troubles keeping their basement free of water. They had a concrete foundation surrounding the space, yet moisture would still accumulate in puddles across the floor. To put an end to this, the homeowner sought a solution online. Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement floor immediately. A shallow trench was excavated into the perimeter of the floor so that WaterGuard piping could be installed beneath the surface, surrounding the basement. Once covered by a fresh coat of concrete, the WaterGuard piping will collect any moisture leaking in through the concrete foundation, guiding it through the floor to the sump for removal. Within this sump, we installed a SuperSump sump pump. This device is capable of removing up to 2,650 gallons of water every hour from the basement, which follows a PVC discharge line up and out of the home. This will ensure the basement is not overwhelmed by any amount of leaking water.
