Sump Upgrade Keeps Old Orchard Beach, ME Basement Water-Free
Challenge
A homeowner that lived in Old Orchard Beach, ME was having troubles with the sump in their basement. It just wasn’t keeping water from gathering on the floor like it used to. Needing something done about it before their basement suffered water damage, the homeowner searched online for a solution. They soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us right away. We set them up with a free estimate and once they decided they wanted to go through with the basement waterproofing we dispatched our crew!
Solution
As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they moved straight to the basement to begin work on the sump upgrade. They started by installing a SuperSump sump pump within the existing sump in this basement floor. The SuperSump will gather he water from the basement floor within itself and then force it out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The SuperSump can pump over 2,600 gallons of water every hour out of the home. Next, an UltraSump backup batter was attached to a nearby wall and connected to the SuperSump. The UltraSump holds enough of a charge to allow the SuperSump to continue to operate for up to 11,000 gallons of water removal if the home loses power. This will ensure the basement remains dry even in storms harsh enough to knock out the power in the home.
With their newly installed sump upgrades, this homeowner no longer needs to worry about any water damage affecting their basement. The SuperSump and UltraSump combo will keep this basement dry for years to come.
