SaniDry Installation Maintains Dry Orono, ME Basement
Challenge
A homeowner that lived in Orono, ME was noticing some dampness lingering in the atmosphere of their basement. Their sump pump was handling the bulk of the water that had been gathering within the space, but some moisture was becoming airborne and staying within the space. This could lead to mold growth within the basement, which was something the homeowner wanted to avoid. To find a remedy for their problem, the homeowner searched online and came across TC Hafford Basement Systems. They called us right away and we got to work!
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to begin work on the basement right away. To keep the moisture from lingering in the air, we installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier on the floor of the basement. This device was connected to the existing sump so that any collected water will flow to the sump. The SaniDry takes in the air surrounding it and separates the moisture from it. The moisture is passed to the sump while the dried air is circulated back into the basement. This creates a cycle that brings more damp air back to the sump to be dried. This cycle continues until the basement is full of dry, healthy air.
With their new dehumidifier in place, this homeowner no longer has a damp basement to worry about. The SaniDry XP will keep this basement completely moisture-free for many years into the future!
