FlexiSpan Installation Seals Leaking Saco, ME Basement Wall
Challenge
A homeowner living in Saco, ME was in need of basement waterproofing. With a crack running the length of one of their basement walls, this homeowner needed a way to seal this crack before any water damage took root beneath their home. After a quick internet search, they found TC Hafford Basement Systems. They gave us a call and we got to work on solving this homeowners’ problem.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work right away on the basement wall. To protect this basement against leaking moisture, a FlexiSpan seal was to be put in place along the crack. This is done starting with an initial layer of sealant being applied inside the crack. This was then covered over with a foam matting, running the length of the crack. This mat was soon covered with a second layer of sealant, completing the FlexiSpan structure. The foam gives the structure a flexible nature, allowing it to conform to any slight shifts in the shape of the crack. This will keep any leaking water from entering the basement from now on.
With their new seal in place, this homeowner no longer has to worry about any moisture damage occurring in their basement. The FlexiSpan seal will keep this basement floor dry for many years to come!
