Basement in Auburn, ME Kept Dry with WaterGuard Piping Installation
Challenge
A homeowner in Auburn, ME was in the market for some basement waterproofing. Even with a sump pump in place in their basement floor, water was still occasionally gathering in puddles around the floor. Tired of needing to manage this moisture, the homeowner looked online for a solution. They soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems and gave us a call. We took a look at the basement and dispatched a crew to get to work.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the concrete basement floor right away by excavating a shallow trench into the perimeter of the floor. Within this trench, WaterGuard piping was laid, surrounding the basement floor and connecting to the sump. After being covered over with a fresh coat of concrete, the WaterGuard piping will capture any leaking moisture trying to enter the basement in the future. This water is guided beneath the floor to the sump where it will be removed. This will keep any water from reaching the surface of the floor to create puddles or damp spots.
Now this homeowner will no longer need to involve themselves in the water removal within their basement. The WaterGuard piping will keep this basement floor dry for many years to come!
