South Freeport, ME Home Waterproofing Protects Against Future Water Damage
Challenge
A homeowner from South Freeport, ME was living with some dampness beneath their home. The crawlspace and basement would typically leak during any rainfall and retain the moisture for a while after. Wanting to put an end to these leakages before they became a real problem, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems and we were on the job!
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they first began by installing a vapor barrier within the crawlspace. This consisted of a CleanSpace liner encapsulating the space. The CleanSpace covers all of the walls as well as the floor in a thin sheet of plastic, locking out any future leakages. Next, within the basement, a SuperSump sump pump was installed in the floor of the space. The SuperSump can move over 2,600 gallons of water every hour. This water is carried up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line where it is deposited onto the ground a safe distance from the home.
With their new waterproofing products installed, this homeowner can now rest assured their crawlspace and basement won’t sustain any long-term moisture damage. The SuperSump and CleanSpace liner will keep this home water for years to come!
