Sump Upgrade Keeps North Turner, ME Basement Dry
Challenge
A couple that lived in North Turner, ME were in need of some basement waterproofing. With water leaking into the space after any rainfall, the homeowners needed a way to keep the water from flooding the basement. They searched online and soon found TC Hafford Basement Systems. They gave us a call and we sent out our crew to get to work.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work right away by installing a TripleSafe sump pump in the floor of the basement. This device houses three pumps which each operate to force the water gathering in the basement out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The primary and secondary pumps each work to remove the bulk of the water needing to be removed; with the secondary pump only activating when the primary fails for any reason. The third pump is a battery back-up pump which will keep the basement water-free even when the home is without power. We then installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier to remove the lingering moisture in the air of the space. The SaniDry will pull in the damp air, separating the moisture from it. The collected water is passed to the TripleSafe for removal while the dried air is circulated back into the space.
With these new upgrades to their basement, these homeowners are now safe from a flooding basement. The TripleSafe & SaniDry XP will keep this basement dry and the air healthy for years into the future!
