SaniDry Dehumidifier Eliminates Winter Harbor, ME Basement Moisture Troubles

Challenge

A homeowner in Winter Harbor, ME had recently had some flooding occur in their basement. Due to a power outage, the water was able to build up on the floor without the sump being able to pump the water out. This led to the moisture entering even the air of the space, leaving the conditions of this basement damp and muggy. To have this problem dealt with before it became worse, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems.

Solution

Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work right away. To stop this lingering moisture from turning into a mold problem, it needed to be removed from the air. To achieve this, a SaniDry XP dehumidifier was installed in the basement. This device will pull in the surrounding damp air, separating the moisture from it. This moisture is then passed to the sump for removal from the basement. The dried air is circulated back into the basement until the process has removed all of the moisture lingering in the air. The dehumidifier will ensure these problems never happen again.

With their new dehumidifier, this homeowner no longer needs to worry about any moisture issues taking root in their basement. The SaniDry XP will keep this basement dry for many years to come!
