SaniDry XP Keeps Islesboro, ME Basement Safe From Moisture Problems
Challenge
A homeowner living in Islesboro, ME had recently had some moisture flood into their basement. After a power outage, their sump was rendered useless and the moisture built up within their basement. Now that power is restored, the water has been removed, but lingering moisture in the space is worrying the homeowner. To have this moisture removed, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to begin work in the basement right away. The moisture lingering in the space could lead to problem such as mold growth, or water damage to the home if left unchecked. A SaniDry XP dehumidifier was installed to prevent this. The SaniDry will pull in the surrounding damp air, separating the moisture from it. The moisture is then passed to the sump for removal while the dried air is circulated back into the space. This process continues until the basement is completely rid of dampness in the air. The water passed to the sump is pumped out of the home.
