SaniDry Dehumidifier Keeps Phillips, ME Basement Moisture-Free
Challenge
A homeowner in Phillips, ME recently had some flooding in their basement. After a particularly harsh storm, water had accumulated in their basement. While the sump handled the majority of the moisture, some had entered the atmosphere of the basement. Worried this might cause problems, they sought a way to have the remaining moisture removed from the space. To get the job done, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to go right to the basement to begin work. With moisture in the air, a dehumidifier would be needed to take care of this problem. We installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier to do just this. The SaniDry takes in the surrounding air, separating the moisture from it. The dried air is then circulated back into the space, causing more damp air to be cycled back to the SaniDry. This process continues until the basement is full of dry, healthy air. The removed water is passed to a Condensate Pump we installed which removes the water from the home through a PVC discharge line.
With their new dehumidifier in place, this homeowner will no longer need to worry about potential moisture-related problems such as mold growth. The SaniDry XP will keep this basement safe from airborne moisture for many years into the future!
