Sump Upgrade For Lovell, ME Home Protects Basement From Moisture
Challenge
A homeowner living in Lovell, ME recently had water leak into their basement when they had lost power. Without power, the sump allowed water to build up on the floor. Fearing future flooding and wanting the current moisture levels in the basement air dealt with, the homeowner sought a solution online. After they found TC Hafford Basement Systems, they gave us a call and arranged to have us get the job done!
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began by installing an UltraSump backup battery. This battery attaches to the existing sump within the basement. The UltraSump will give the sump an extra 11,000 gallons worth of water pumping before requiring a recharge. This will protect the home from future blackouts. Next, a SaniDry CX dehumidifier was installed in the basement. This device pulls in the air around itself, separating the moisture from that air. The dried air is circulated back into the basement while the collected water is passed to the sump for removal from the home. This should prevent possible moisture problems from taking root in the basement.
With the new sump upgrade completed, this homeowner no longer needs to worry about potential water damage to their basement during power outages. The UltraSump will keep this basement dry in any weather!
