Surry, ME Basement Dried and Kept Dry With SaniDry XP

Challenge

A homeowner in Surry, ME noticed one day that a crack had formed on their basement wall. This crack was allowing moisture to gather within the basement, creating uncomfortably damp conditions for the homeowner. To get the crack sealed and the moisture dealt with, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems.

Solution

Once our installation arrived at the home, they began work on the wall crack by applying FlexiSpan. This process begins with the crack being cleaned by a coarse brush. Once that is done, the crack received a preliminary layer of sealant. Over this, a foam matting was placed, with a second layer of sealant applied over the top to seal the entire structure in place. This will lock the moisture out entirely. We then installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier to handle the existing moisture. This moisture is pulled from the air and drained from the home through the sump.

With these new additions to their basement, no more moisture will be leaking into this home in the future. Any existing moisture will be handled by the SaniDry, keeping the basement dry.
